Peace to all my brothers across the globe who still listen to REAL music like this.

haha, what the fuck! this is what the listeners of REAL music (i.e. 60s rock) HATE to the limit, without realizing, that their music is nothing but distortet electrified crap for the listeners of REAL real music (i.e. 30s/40s swing and bluegrass), while the listeners of classical music claim, that the whole "so called pop music" is nothing but "dross" - hey, buddy, see what i mean? which "real" music do you mean now? be careful with that expression, especially written in caps, it reeks of chauvinism... :-( let´s respect each other across the globe, even if someone just listens to music, which is merely a collage made of little splinters cut out of other music pieces, ok? there are as much ways to make and enjoy music as there are humans... btw. this is a nice mix here, nuff enjoyment... :-) one love and best wishes...

As someone born and raised from Queens. I would ride the E train for 4 years to 50th Street to get to high school in Hell's Kitchen and downtown to my afterschool job in the original World Trade Center, 1986 to 1990. This is traveling music. In your headphones as you ride and make moves around the city, from Bk, Harlem and the Bx... lol, I was everywhere. As I got older, these type of musical impressions became my 'pushing-the-pedal' soundtrack for going up and down the FDR, the Westside Highway, onto all the city's many bridges into every boro and back on the LIE or Belt Parkway to head home. This sound is the core of my NYC existence, 😌 even as I graduated into neosoul and all sectors of jazz. For at that core is the young 16 year-old with door-knocker pyramid shaped earrings, a two-finger ring with my name engraved, a brown Gucci bookbag and red hightop Reeboks, with a Salt-n-Pepa asymmetrical haircut. 😏

@@thebeatnumberIt's not becaude modern Islamic "scholars" says it's haram that it is today. Old Islamic scholars were both learned in Islam, Science, Music, Natation, Horse riding, Archery, Wrestling, Sword fighting etc.. Kitab Al Aghani was written during the 10th century CE under Abbasid rule, it's the most complete anthology of Arab music and poetry and it was written by someone of the same tribe of Prophet Muhammad the Quraysh, I think they were closer to early Islam in this period than now, and the author of the book is more suited to represent Islam than most Arabs and even more than any non Middle Eastern scholar (according to Islamic hadiths, Islam is only for descendants of Sem, Japheth and Ham, out of whom only Sem was wise enough to understand completely religion). I know it's controversial but de facto Mongoloids and Congoids aren't descendants of Noah, Ham's descendants are clearly listed and the darkest of them are the Cushites the rest are all over northern Africa i.e Egyptians and Maghrebis/Berbers.

This music reminds me of riding the BART train out here, the subway system in the Bay Area. Movin' outta Richmond, staring at the far away lights of SF with its shining bridge, brake lights decorating with reds, going under the bay and coming up in downtown Oakland - passing over the rickity Macarthur station, waiting for the old Raiders stadium to show up in the distance and the Fruitvale announcement (R.I.P. Oscar Grant) .. cuz that meant West Oakland station was comin; up, and I was almost home...

@@bluesolace9052 The s950 filter and MPC 60 swing are pure magic (also SP1200 & ASR10, no doubt). Drums were mixed and layered just right. All the obscure break records/ foreign records were scooped up by many good producers way before internet/KZbin and outrageous prices. Everybody had a good ear for sounds. No plugins. (Minimal) clearance issues if you chopped enough and layered sounds. Hardware/physical touch to machines, vinyl, using your ears to beat match and figuring out timestretch. It was untapped. You listen to hip-hop and are a true conoseur one can tell by these beats used and those infused with it, you guys are indeed fans of the ART of hip-hop which is why you made such an awesome mix it just goes to show by your ears the legends dead and alive would probably sit in a studio with you sip drinks and smile at your productions you really made hiphop rap productions of boom bap feel and sound so authentic. Truly takes a special ear and usually someone of the culture to do it, you did a great job. I hope more can make compilations as good as you have with these Boom Bap sounds. Black Americans have invented innovated contributed so much, and Boom Bap isn't always appreciated but the fact that you made the gritty come alive again, you have to be so proud of yourself for being able to etch and copy and put out such art and sound. The originators of Boom bap and the sounds are one for the true appreciators. Kudos to this mix and all the others you have I liked thumbs up and added to play list and shared to the fellow boom bap lovers, many give you props keep doing your thing, you're respecting hiphop rap art and not butchering it, this is truly good sounds. ITs good to appreciate Black American creators art and people, and not just use it and not acknowledge the Essence in which it comes. Return of Boom Bap was perfect name to label these. btw
