This upload, and Vibracobra23's channel in its entirety, is truly righteous. Many thanks!

HOT ON THE HEELS OF STEEL PULSE'S FIRST JOHN PEEL SESSION POSTED BY VIBRACOBRA23 JUST A FEW DAYS AGO COMES ANOTHER SPARKLING BRITISH REGGAE BAND, MISTY IN ROOTS. As we mentioned in the Steel Pulse upload, in the mid 1970's an amazing event was taking place in reggae. For the first time ever, world class reggae was being created outside Jamaica. In England, self contained bands such as Aswad, Black Slate, Cimarons, Matumbi, Capitol Letters, Steel Pulse and Black Roots were all changing the face of reggae music. From Southall, Misty In Roots had a large following among West Indians and white youth culture living there. Like Steel Pulse, they frequently toured with punk bands and this exposed them to a much wider audience at the "Rock Against Racism" festivals. But unlike Steel Pulse, they refused to sign with a major label, launching their own People Unite label instead. This might have prevented them from having a national chart hit, but they appear on a few Peel sessions. Sodom and Gomorrah turned up on their debut album, Live At the Counter Eurovision 79. I may be wrong, but I think True Rasta Man and Judgement Coming On the Land are unique to this Radio i session. Maybe someone can shed some light on this. 1. True Rasta Man (0:07) 2. Judgement Coming On The Land (4:19) 3. Sodom and Gomorrah (9:20)

Inspirational upload. 'Live At The Counter Eurovision 79' made me sit up and re-evaluate my perceptions of roots reggae - and this session is a real treat. Thank you. :-)

Are there any more Misty In Roots JP sessions posted? John Peel had them in several times, and they were excellent every time.

I just have the 1985 session at kzbin.info/www/bejne/hoHRhWx9a9GFl7c although obviously I'll upload the rest as and when I get or sort them and there are many individual tracks from all their sessions on one of my other channels. Someone has the whole album on their channel I think but I'm not sure if it has everything on it.
