Thanks Ali, 1,800 miles is impressive in V-Runs, you didn't get any tearing around the toe box area? Let us know how you get on with V-Trails. Happy running to you.
@ali2kan2 жыл бұрын
My 1st pair of v-runs that reached 1,800 had a ton of tearing around the toe box (sides and bottom) and the soles separated from the shoe and i had to shoe glue them to keep them together. My current pair of v-runs is at around 1,400 and the soles aren’t separating but there is tearing in the toe box of the big toe. I’m thinking of getting the a pair of the retro v-runs. The material looks completely different! @@CoolRunningReviews

@@ali2kan That's such an amazing running story, you really get every mile out of them. I really wouldn't have thought it possible in V-Run's as the material is quite soft around the toes. I saw someone using them on his OneWheel Pint. As a rider of e-vehicles, I had to try it. I have the V-Trail version as my first entry into this type of shoe, and was prepared to send them back on first try. But when I had more time and actually read the instructions (I likely didn't position my toes in each pocket previously, resulting in a painful experience), the left one fit comfortably and the right one will likely take some adjusting but isn't bad.
@CoolRunningReviews5 жыл бұрын
It's common for people to have one foot half a size bigger than the other, I also have this issue with Vibram, but I've got use to them now and don't find it a problem that one is always a little loser than the other. Trying on a few sizes is so important to find your perfect size. Good luck, hope it works out for you, but don't give up, maybe you will try a different size next time.

@@CoolRunningReviews well you know, a lot of people have freakishly long toes :) they have to account for that when they design them. Whereas my toes starting with my Big Toe being the largest and each consecutive toe being roughly a fingertip smaller than the previous one.

Thanks for the great review! Love the v-trails, and, having never tried five finger shoes, I think this is the pair I would go for. I do have a difference in size between my left and right foot, so I wonder if there’s anyone who has the same problem and have tried five fingers… I think they would feel odd on the small foot. Thanks for the video!
@CoolRunningReviews2 жыл бұрын
It's rare that there's not a perfect Vibram Five Fingers for all runners, it can be a little bit of trial and error when we first transition into them, but ultimately we find the right model and size, from then on we just keep ordering the same model and size online. Most important we measure our feet correctly first and order the size to suit the largest foot, the smaller foot shoes may feel a little loose in the beginning, but you'll soon not even notice it. Thanks for your comments and feedback.

thanks for the review. which one would be best for running up and down hills? i need some padding at the ball of the foot for going steeply downhill because it can be very jarring - so much so that i typically have to walk down hill in the models i currently own. or is there a different style you would recommend for hill running?

V-Trek or V-Trail are both perfect for this, especially if you wear the toe socks. I do a lot of hill trail running in V-Trail 1.0 (original version) and love them. I currently do mostly HIIT training with off/on road running as side line but am wanting to increase how much running I do (with some hiking thrown in).
