Thanks for the video, Phil... I've been working on vibrating sluice for awhile now...one that's pretty much self contained, light weight and that can grab the micro gold. I"m using many classifier screens so I can filter off all material that is larger than the actual gold. Also, I think the sluice boxes we use are based on larger gold recovery but not actually for micro gold. I think the majority of micro gold is just floating right out of the sluice. What I'm doing is using a strong 12v vibrating motor with a speed controller that was made for an easy chair, etc. I have stainless steel mesh screens clear down to #200 mesh. Each size class will have different amounts of gold. From that you can dial it right down to the gold size in your area. A lot of the black sand that gathers will be smaller than the gold. I think it's because gold is the most malletable so it can be hammered so thin that it floats because of surface area. I'm reducing the water flow rate to virtually nothing and instead running my "sluice" completely submerged and just vibration to separate the cons. I have several design modifications I'm working on now but I think I'm on a good thought about it. It all fits in a small tote and I'm building a small lightweight dolly to pull it on the beach. I'll post some pictures in a few weeks maybe less. Your video helps inspire others to work on new ideas and methods to capture more micro gold...and there's plenty go around. It's it great hobby!!! And it helps keep me out of the pool halls at night 😂 Be safe and well...

Good Morning from Stevens Point. Love all the different things you try, to get the fine Gold out of the concentrates. A friend of mine has a small vibrator on the back of his Miller Table. The Vibrator works great on that Miller Table. Perhaps something you would want to try later on. Keep up the great work.
@freedomprospecting903411 ай бұрын
We are already thinking of that. It's our next project

I plan to get a Miller Table later on and I'll be curious to see what you come up with for an attachable vibrator and controller to regulate the speed. It will certainly help separate the Fine Gold from the Black Sand along with the water flow. I'm surprised none of the brands have done that.

I was told that if I can catch fine and flour gold, I'm doing something right. It's easy to catch the big stuff. Heavy Pans!!!

Screen your materials, and run them seperatly. Your water is flowing to fast to catch the fine gold

We normally do that

No gold in the tailings this last test. Everything is dialed in now

I wasn't loosing very much before. But I wasn't catching all of that micro gold before.

Good testing. Which axis for vibration worked best for you? Across or up/down or in line with the water flow
@freedomprospecting903411 ай бұрын
Just a smooth vibration across. Up and down throws gold out
@mohammednovalija11 ай бұрын
So with the vibrator you only lost 4 micro and 2 a little bit bigger. How much would you lose if you ran similar material and same equipment but without using the vibrator ? Is it heaps quicker to run a bucket with the vibrator than without it ?
@freedomprospecting903411 ай бұрын
The time to rub it is about the same. You end up with less coins to clean out with the vibrator

Just wondering how small the material is when you run it through the sluice on the first pass. Your gold is fine .. do you think you might be blowing out that 1% with the larger stones?
@CBD-Life-South-Africa11 ай бұрын
Ohh, much more than 1% especially if smaller than 100 mesh size
@freedomprospecting903411 ай бұрын
Classified to quarter inch. The biggest gold hear is flower gold. Nothing in our tailings this last test
