I was in the front row for this and I cannot tell you how incredibly effective the silence was. I was emotional for the next 5 minutes not being able to process what I just saw, but feeling it so deeply. I was sooo shook they won, because the building was so agape in silence I thought their lack of cheers would be a detriment. But we were all just dumbfounded from what we saw. I can’t believe these were juniors. Thank you, Izumi Co, for not just bringing dance but straight up ART to my hometown.
