@@viccamppinball He's another KZbinr who's been creating a series of videos on pinball machines. He linked to this video to talk about some of the other 'non-pinball' pinball games that the big pinball makers were making back in the day. I didn't even know that these bingo machines existed, but now I kind of want one.

I used to play a bingo pinball machine at a local cafe in the 60s. It was such fun. The cafe owner would pay us out in cash if we ever got 80 credits or above.

I started playing Bin Pinball Machines around 1969 at the age of 13. They were in many establishments throughout New Jersey largest city call Newark. I played them everywhere I could until the mid 1990’s. I guess I was totally addicted. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts and comments.

What a great machine. … I one’d a 1957 Bally Showtime for several years. It had Magic Squares, and was dynamite to play. The only downsides to Bingos are: they are hard to fix and maintain, … and the weight. But just fantastic machines. Thanks for sharing.

I've played a Bally Show Time and owned a 1956 Bally Night Club which also has the Magic Squares and I really loved that game. Night Club had double, triple and quadruple scoring pay out for replays, 4 corners, the Bally hole(# 16), colored lines pay out and spotted numbers. while searching around I came across this Gay Time and my close collector friend here in New Jersey, who played my Ball Gay Time at my home wanted a Gay Time and bought this machine in Loveland, Ohio from a older man in his late 80’s who had it for many years. It was absolutely the best original condition Bally Gay Time I ever seen and better than the one I had in my collection which I thought was in excellent condition. My friend had Jeffery Lawton (he wrote the book Bally Bingo Pinball machines) pick it up in Ohio and deliver it to my buddy in New Jersey. When I saw the game in person I couldn’t believe my eyes. It looked almost like new. We my buddy moved to Florida he asked me if I wanted to buy his Gay Time and I said yes of course I would and I did. I sold my other excellent condition one to another bingo pinball lover and put this gorgeous Gay Time in my collection.Thanks for the nice comment.

I think you had another win diagonally.
@viccamppinball2 жыл бұрын
On the early 1950’s Bally bingos a player could only win on one line and could get multiple wins if other wins showed up on the card. There was one early bingo called Dude Ranch which I played on Seaside Hts boardwalk in the Royal Arcade which did allow a player to score on each of the 2 cards on the back glass. I think you were referring to a diagonal win in the beginning of the game in this video when I was moving the lines up and down and hopping the holes on the magic pockets, but I decided to continue to search and that’s when the 3 in a line win appeared on the top row of the card, so I choose to play this line which was an easier chance to beat the game for replays. Thanks for the comment.

It dumbfounds me how the use of the word gay has changed. If someone were to say the word gay the last thing I would think of is someone that is happy unless it is a gay friend that is happy lol. The word gay changed alot from the 1950s to 2010 and then just as big of a change between 2010 and 2024. Throughout that time the word has meant completely different things lol.

Bally had the Magic Pocket feature on only one other bingo pinball game they manufactured. It for sure gives the player an advantage during game play.
