I remember it tripped me out how he explained the gum thing. In a "ok...." type of way... Then later on (i think in the same episode) Vic's wife takes the gum. I was like, "oh..." that's what you guys were setting up. Moments like that stuck with me for years. Here i am in 2024 writing a comment about it.

I thought that "gum" moment was so clever. It also gave you insight into the character of both Kavanaugh and Acevada. Acevada knew exactly what Kavanaugh was doing.

Well in his defense... it took a LOT of pressure for him to finally "crack" so to speak. He was pretty tough to take so many losses before he decided to break the rules.
