I once had the pleasure to fly from Zürich to JFK and back in business class bc my father (senator status) got the flights for free (traveled a lot bc of work) - whole different experience than normal economic; the head of staff on the plane greets you personally after boarding and thanks you for flying with Swiss Airline, chats with you and is even more attentive than usual. The senator’s lounge (pre Corona, 2018) was simply great (food, comfortable seats, great amenities and view!) - when we flew back from New York I quickly changed from shorts and a t shirt into a blouse, leather flats, tights and a skirt because I looked/ felt so out of place in the senator’s lounge 😂

A thoughtful, nuanced review that managed to capture all the subtle details of flying SWISS extraordinarily well. Having flown with them consistently for the last 15 years, I can say that their dedication to bringing a Swiss experience to flying has now been refined to an art. One thing I would add regarding Zürich Airport: normally flights to North America operate out of Gates E, but due to the pandemic, the entire terminal has been temporarily closed and the flights are operating out of Gates D. The airport train that takes you between the two, however, usually plays the sounds of the Swiss Alps (i.e. cow bells and mooing, alpenhorn, singing) and is an experience in and of itself. I only discovered your channel a few days ago and I can't believe what I've been missing out on - please continue doing exactly what you've been doing!

I've had a few cocktails and perhaps I was fantasizing to see how first class (rare but not unknown in my previous life) or business class has changed since I retired? @S as the guy in the video said, this is a refined experience. Emirates is Arab opulence; both have their place but I'd much rather fly Swiss. It is refined luxury that has some meaning behind the extravagant spending, Emirates simply throws the most expensive(looking) shit in your face. Not to mention that Swiss is likely cheaper. Edit: the Swiss would be outraged if Swiss turned into say Etihad or Emirates. The cultural gap is simply too broad. Source- having lived in Switzerland for 4 years.

As someone who is half Swiss and grew up in Zurich, I want to say thank you for introducing our country. You summed up our history very well, we might look like our neighbor Germany but we have our own history which not everyone knows about.

KZbin funneled me to this video after I was exploring train travel and got sucked down into airplane reviews. There are several KZbinrs reviewing travel and there is a...tone to them that basically convinced me that the price tag for ANY first class doesn't make economic sense. When I compared the luxury hotel experiences I've had for the dollar, I felt grateful for so many KZbinrs helping me to see I should NEVER spend my money on First Class travel...until this video. For what you got for your upgrade that was the ultimate travel experience. You did a wonderful job of filming and showcasing the top-tier quality of service Swiss provides. THIS was something that made me think about treating myself to in my lifetime IF they continue their first class service. Thank you so much for the LENGTH, production quality, details, and humor you brought to this review. Very much appreciated. You just got a new subscriber!

20:37 - I literally live beside the small cheese factory that makes the „Wylägerer“ and „Ägeri Mutschli“ cheese! They only have like 5 employees, really surprised that their cheese is on the Swiss menu! Also, it‘s just one small factory, don‘t know why it says „made by Chäsladä Ägeri“ for one and „made by Käserei Gwerder“ on the other cheese - it‘s just one Käserei (cheese factory) named „Chäsladä“ (cheese shop), owned by the Gwerder family. Fun little detail!

Excellent commentary in English and very informative video about places, airplanes, food and beverages served on board 👌. I thoroughly enjoyed the virtual experience of traveling first class through your aviation videos as well as the beauty of Zurich in Switzerland. Thank you very much for sharing it with us through KZbin.

Great review, and super funny. Me and my daughter loved it. She has never been a plane yet so this was also very educational. It got her asking questions about travel, and that level of curiosity about the world is so good to see. Great review, keep 'em coming.

You truly do a great job of filmmaking. Editing and adding the perfect music. I want the cheese plate from today’s video. Your videos make staying at home tolerable because it’s just as fun to travel vicariously through your videos and zero calories.
