I don't think it was a good idea to show this activists face. He might face repercussions in the future because of this documentary. They should have blurred his face as they did for the other activists there.

(cont)....In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was his fight against the Jewish poison. Today, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed his blood upon the Cross....(TBC)

It's not that there is anything wrong with it, but it's the moral of the people who lose motivation to actually do something about it. I can tell you I have seen the same pothole every time I visit Peru and nobody hasn't claimed it to be fixed. Yet here in the US you can go to the Town Hall and they will get somebody out there to fix the problem. If you wanna succeed you don't play fire with fire; you play fire with water. Get ahead and make the move.

You make me remember a episode of family guy where Brian and Stewie enter an alternate universe of Earth without religion, surprisingly, Mankind was much more technologically advanced because without the religious purges, prosecution of scientists, ect technological advances have been made unhindered. The best example would be the Great Library of Alexandria, if it had not been burned down, we would've already learned basic algebra and would not have to rediscover it hundreds of years later.
@FlyingP4dre

I'm not playing with words. Gay couples go to the same adoption agencies and are held to the same criteria (if not more strict) for potential parents as straight couples. Are you saying any form of adoption if human trafficking? In that case you're playing with words, and not just misspelling Iraq.

ALSO in 1493, the papal bull, Inter Caetera by Pope Alexander VI granted these rights to Spain in the New World (the Americas and parts of the Pacific). Also came slavery, mostly of Africans brought to Hispanola, Cuba and other islands and Central and South America where indigenous people starved themselves to death rather than be taken into slavery.

"Obviously"? A kid will turn out absolutely normal. Look up the statistics of gay marriages, what kind of kids they have. All the child needs in a family is love. Doesn't matter if both parents are male or female. He will learn toleration and multiculturalism most likely. NOTHING negative can come out of that. The child WONT become gay since it is NOT a choice (as you've wrongly mentioned). There is gay activity in animal kingdom, so it's absolutely natural for ~10% of population to be gay.

- You are twisting my words, this is what I actually said: ''The civil in Iraq had it's roots by the US government, military and CIA who organised death squads of up to 10,000 men for the purpose of sowing terror among the Iraqi population in an effort to defeat the Iraqi resistance.'' - So in other words, Divide & Conquer.

The problem with religion is not people worshipping or believing in something, it's when people follow the words of preachers blindly. How one man can preach about how a mass of people should behave and act "because god says so".

catholic church abolished slavery in it's ranks while being under pressure by secular societies, contradicting it's (catholic) own religious texts which actually promote slavery. I was talking about "mental slavery" (no argumentative thoughts, no argument, dogmatic views). So it seems to me that you've missed my point. You have a right to believe what you want, but at least acknowledge the FACT that organized religion is a corrupt political system where there is no appeal "in the eyes of god"

Risk their lives to bring top quality content? Risk their lives? Thats just another day in the office. No one makes them "risk" their lives. They chose this path and since their cool with "risking" their lives for documentary purposes, at least give longer parts than 7mins. A 30min 2 part documentary would be more understandable...

I'd say it's somewhat comparable to alcohol in that sense, yet alcohol is responsible for things that are far worse. Drunk driving, families literally being broken up, homelessness spousal abuse, gambling, people literally giving up every dime they have for another sip. And yet it's legal because it's culturally ingrained into most western society.

Marijuana isn't cheap due to the laws that surround it. It would probably be the most abundant plant around if it wasn't constantly eradicated. It's an extremely versatile plant that can be grown with little to no effort/investment. You have to say the same about alcohol (unless you are a hypocrite, which it seems you may be). The only difference is that alcohol is extremely harmful, psychologically and physically addictive, and causes 2.5 million deaths a year.

Suroosh and/or Vice crew: Was Mr. Ali Al-Hafez at all concerned about speaking to you so openly, with none of the typical measures taken (blurring his face out, changing his voice) to conceal his identity? I realize it would be somewhat non-productive to be an "unknown activist" but he must be under a lot of scrutiny and threat of death.
