It's crazy to me how big Pokémon has become. I remember growing up as a kid, I was one of the few children who watched or played Pokémon. I collected all the games up to Pokémon Black, and I collected the cards. But, they were in storage when I was 13, and we couldn't stay on top of the bills, so they sold all of our stuff. Vintage Pokémon items from late 90s to mid 2000s, Pokémon cards I collected over the years through events and video games that I personally spent with my chore money. I was devastated and didn't play for almost a decade. Still love Pokémon, but when I think back to all my things it generally upsets me thinking how much I could have made.

@@pianoonparade But were the cards actually worth a lot back then? Did people resell the way they do now? I remeber having some rare-ish cards in the early 2000s that other kids were envious of, but I never thought “oh this is worth a lot of money”.

@@pianoonparade as a kid in the early 2000s, we would never show off for value. Rather, it was to flex the card or Pokémon itself. Like, it was cool to have a holographic Entei or Charizard and we would flex that. But it wouldn’t be like “oh look at this holographic entei, it’s worth $80.”

Don't worry, they've doubled production on cards to put vultures like this out of business. The worth of all the new sets has been completely slashed and it's way easier to get cards in stores now. Might take a bit of time for some of the people less aware of Pokemon Cards to realise they aren't going to make any money buying out the store, but it'll happen eventually.

Probably because they are purposely inflating the prices of worthless paper cards 1000folds. But they sell to different markets for cheaper prices. Ie. A USA medication pill will cost 2 pennies in India but $100 in the US. We'll I imagine this sort of like buying a bunch of pills for 2 cents in India and selling them back to Americans at a higher price, but still a good deal for them. Except is this case they won't fcking kill you/throw you in a jail box forever... because you know the big drug companies don't mess around when it comes to their profits.

Nebraska is a state in the Midwestern region of the United States. It is bordered by South Dakota to the north; Iowa to the east and Missouri to the southeast, both across the Missouri River; Kansas to the south; Colorado to the southwest; and Wyoming to the west. Indigenous peoples, including Omaha, Missouria, Ponca, Pawnee, Otoe, and various branches of the Lakota (Sioux) tribes, lived in the region for thousands of years before European exploration. The state is crossed by many historic trails, including that of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Nebraska's area is just over 77,220 square miles (200,000 km2) with a population of over 1.9 million. Its capital is Lincoln, and its largest city is Omaha, which is on the Missouri River. Nebraska was admitted into the United States in 1867, two years after the end of the American Civil War. The Nebraska Legislature is unlike any other American legislature in that it is unicameral, and its members are elected without any official reference to political party affiliation. Nebraska is composed of two major land regions: the Dissected Till Plains and the Great Plains. The Dissected Till Plains region consists of gently rolling hills and contains the state's largest cities, Omaha and Lincoln. The Great Plains region, occupying most of western Nebraska, is characterized by treeless prairie. Nebraska has two major climatic zones. The eastern two-thirds of the state has a humid continental climate (Köppen climate classification Dfa); a unique warmer subtype considered "warm-temperate" exists near the southern plains, which is analogous to that in Kansas and Oklahoma, which have a predominantly humid subtropical climate. The Panhandle and adjacent areas bordering Colorado have a primarily semi-arid climate (Köppen BSk). The state has wide variations between winter and summer temperatures, variations that decrease moving south within the state. Violent thunderstorms and tornadoes occur primarily during spring and summer and sometimes in autumn. Chinook wind tends to warm the state significantly in the winter and early spring.
