If filling tanks is an issue in your area you may want to call your local tractor supply store. They sell and exchange tanks at most stores. You do have to buy a tank from them but when you exchange the tank you only pay for the gas content for a new tank. This way you don’t have to worry about tank age or inspection. Just use the contents and pick up your new tank. That’s the route I had to go for my Oxy-acetylene tanks it works out nice. Loving the content Derek!

I agree and I have posted the same opinion multiple times in the hope that Derek reads it and takes it into consideration. Derek has a whole Rusty Acres full of potential projects just waiting for his time. My gut tells me that it doesn't make sense at this point in time to travel all over the country reviving cars only to have them pile up in Rusty Acres. That activity is what built up VGG but at a certain point Derek needs to pivot towards working off his Rusty Acres inventory. It allows him to stay at home! Then the travel can be reserved for going to meet-and-greet events, racing cars, doing burnout competitions, power tours, etc.

Keep up the good work! Maybe try putting both brackets on one cut program so you knock both out in one dry run. Also, with triangles, try mirror imaging what you made so the outside is basically square, could utilize more material easier.

That FastCut table makes some amazing metal fabrication. The truck looks really good. Paint all that great work, please!

Joining the Motor Trend family has really paid off for you! Not only do ya have your show, but you've made friends with Freiburger, Dulcich, Alex Taylor, and ex-staffers Tony Angelo and Dave Chapelle! I don't know if you've met Finnegan or Lucky yet, but theyre awesome!

Such a cool project. As a custom carpenter I dig all the fab piece work, and the unique creative touches available. Keep the body patina if you like, but paint that custom frame work high quality, front to back! It's too cool to let the elements eat on, and will make the patina up top stand out in greater relief. Cheers from the mitten!

Plus a glossy black frame and axle will match the glossy black wheels. It's a no brainer!

I just watched you a day after I air bagged my Ram laramie. You must love the aggravation of cameras and batteries! All I could think of was getting it done nice, not camera angle, batteries and narration. You earn it! Much respect. Even when you're in a hurry you take the time to explain. I hope your boys appreciate the patience of a great dad and teacher! I guess I should add I hope your wife appreciates you!

I always enjoy when you make a series of videos on one of your revivals. We get to see more of what goes into making a vehicle more road-worthy with a few upgrades or repairs. Keep up the good work and don’t forget to take a break once a week, maybe on Sundays?

Love this build. I worked at a machine shop for a couple years and placement for the start and stop point on the plasma table is key. You could be using A LOT let steel if you cram your cuts together. Or flip the drawing and cut right up against the identical piece. Love the videos. Keep em coming buddy!!

On your welding wire just before it enters the rollers, put a piece of scotchbright pad on the wire with a paperclip and it will clean the wire off as it enters the rollers. Great show🎉
