A guy can take 4 hours out of a day with a good wire wheel and 5 cans of clean up paint and have a new frame. The old Chevy will love you for it, and you'll get 5-10 mpg better gas mileage, and a 10-20 horse power increase. i.postimg.cc/G3jqys3q/Post.jpg

Geez, I’ve never been happier that my truck is an old fashioned straight axle. The lift kit consisted of basically 4 pieces - 2 springs and 2 shocks.

I do love old chevy trucks, I have an 86 k10. But I sure am glad my daily driver truck is a 2000 dodge ram, they had solid front axles up until 2001. I lifted that truck in an afternoon with about 4 parts.
