For anyone who's interested in the location(s) in the video: He's cycling in the North-West of Spain (Galicia): The old bridge is "Ponte Medieval de Pontevea" (A Estrada, Pontevedra), the church building is in the city of "Santiago de Compostela" (capitol of that region), and later he's at the lighthouse building "Faro de Fisterra" (on Cape Finisterre), . Amazingly beautiful song and video/locations indeed!

Totalmente, el virtuosismo muchas veces eclipsa los sentimientos. Hay muchos grandes guitarristas como Mike Oldfield o Santana, que sin ser grandes virtuosos son capaces de conectar con el alma. What I really respect about the essence of this composition is that Vicente does not release the mastery of his soloing brilliance, yet the song empowers, allowing the Celtic flutes and other instruments to create the crescendo. The cascading flute at the end is very moving and anchors the music so well. And as for the video: in an era where there are hyper-theatrics based off costumes, flashing lights, silly dances, and overall hyper energy, a man riding his bike on a journey of exploration, not only of the land and its peoples, but of himself, is a sublime way to convey important themes in his soul. Thanks Vicente for your awesome music--have been listening to you for over 10 years.

Exactly this is what I like as well. He always had beautiful compositions already in this 20-ies, but sometimes covered them in to much soloing. Seems he became mature and serves the song. I live in Valencia.I missed that concert because I was saving up for a hand built Flamenco guitar by a local but world renowned luthier. I was very tempted to be sure. But the guitar...she is a beauty. But I did get to see Jose Fermin Fernandez, very young upcoming star from Granada on the Flamenco circuit. He made me shed a few tears too, as all real Flamenco tocaores do.

Gracias a ti!! Al final del video esta sentado frente al Océano Atlántico en el faro de Finisterre, (donde los romanos pensaban que se acaba la tierra). Esa costa es conocida como "Costa da Morte" (costa de la muerte) porque la bravura de ese mar se llevó la vida de muchos pescadores. En el vídeo, Vicente recorre las etapas finales del Camino de Santiago, concretamente la variante francesa.. Espero que te fuera de ayuda!! Un saludo!

La denominación de "costa da morte" se atribuye equivocadamente a los naufragios (que los hubo) cuando en realidad se refiere a la "muerte del sol", es decir es la costa donde va a morir el sol, siempre dentro de la creencia romana de un sol que moría sumergido en el mar cada noche... Incluso decía que si se afinaba el oído se podía oír como crepitaban al hundirse.

Es un poco complejo es decir hay que tener cierto virtuosismo para poder expresar muchas veces un sentimiento en un instrumento pero es muy fácil caer en ser solo muy virtuoso y olvidar expresar pero a su vez si solo se expresa sin la técnica adecuada percibes solo una idea de lo que quieres transmitir al oír esa interpretación y deja pensando en que algo faltó es muy difícil ese equilibrio de encontrar tu nivel de técnica perfecto para entregar el sentimiento y la idea clara de lo se quiere entregar en una canción así .
