Jojo Mayer is like the guru of drums, he knows everything about every technique, style, time signature. it's mind blowing!

Themeinldrummer, we actually recorded this lesson series for a special DVD that we produced for Jojo's clinic tour throughout Europe, Canada and the US. After the clinic tour was over, we decided to put the video on KZbin to let everyone benefit from the lessons. Usually we don't sit on any video for more than a few days!

I don't know who is more freaky creative, Jo Jo or Jonny Rabb. I saw Rabb at a clinic, and people's jaws were on the floor at his bizarre creativity. So much acoustic drumming that sounds cooler than electronics.

Another master of the techno beat and unusual creativity is Jonny Rabb. Saw him live at a clinic last year, and people's jaws were on the floor at the sounds and discoveries. Benny Greb said it best, that finding new techniques is basically a little kid screwing around on a drumset until he can replicate a unique sound in a beat pattern.

Oh yea. Similar to how a bodhran player would do a triplet or something. But it looks like Jojo gives it one tap and the stick goes on its own, a rebound like a Moeller kind of motion.

I really don‘t know if there is any kind of contemporary jungle and bass band who would use an analog drummer as a part of their band concept. Mr. Mayer would you please come up with something really substantial and useful please. This crazy „Rumgedaddel“ is not very useful.
