I distinctly remember this play - he outran DeAngelo Hall, literally one of the fastest players in the league at the time (maybe THE fastest if the Pro Bowl skills challenges are to be considered) and with only one cleat on and a sock. Growing up, I remember thinking Hines Ward sucked. I was born in 98 so I was 8 here. Didn’t know what football was, I just knew it made my dad REALLY happy, or REALLY mad. But it seemed like every time I watched Hines Ward, it was on a play where he dropped a pass. And I would see him get up, every time, and smile. Like it was hilarious.
