Robin Strasser's Dorian is the definition of a GRAND diva!!! That POSE! That BLUE DRESS! That POSE right before taking the glass of champagne! The way Dorian commanded EVERYONE'S attention!!! The way she walked up to Viki! The way she got in Viki's face and smiled, the way she SMIRKED rather! UNFORGETTABLE scenes/work!!!

I loved that scene also!!! Blue really fitted Dorian well. True blue Dorian was...no phony smiles, no BS...with Dorian, unlike the others in Llanview, you always knew where you stood. And what made it funnier and more captivating was that Dorian was the shortest adult in the room.

Lovely music piece and it fit the scene perfectly. I also liked the music of the beginning theme. I remembered it from when I was a little kid in the early 90's.

Dorian thought she killed him until the autopsy report said that Victor had been smothered. She was trying to kill Victor by not giving him his medication. But we didn't know this until it was revealed that Viki had killed him. And once we learned what a monster Victor was, the fact that Dorian really had tried to kill him didn't seem so bad. I ignore the 2003 rewrite because it was stupid and the 1994-95 storyline was so good. That guy in 2003 wasn't Victor, that was an impostor, or something.

That was some entrance and Dorian looks amazing the hair the make up the dress and that feline like strut. Robin strasser my queen. I love how everyone one by one turned and she walks right up to viki cool as a cucumber. Oltl in those days had the money for great set ups malone I notice in key scenes does the camera close up shots not the a camera over shoulder b camera over shoulder. Reminds me of the belt scene with todd and blair when they are emotional and raw roger is delivering his lines to the camera but it's supposed to be him looking right at blair and the close up camera shot of blair in tears. The lighting the music the wardrobe the music was all very well done in this era. It's not really like watching a soap some of these heavy storylines but a movie. I notice the two A storylines got great attention to detail with todd as citizen kane like and Dorian and viki particularly the d.i.d Plus I dont care oltl had the most stellar actors on any soap. They brought it everytime.

I loved the flabbergasted look on Viki's face...I always laugh at that. Dorian was more like a wolf and her strut was more canine. And what makes this iconic scene even more remarkable is that Dorian was the shortest adult in the room and was almost the only brown-eyed person in a roomful of blue eyes. This was the turning point when we begin to realize that Viki can no longer bully Dorian and can no longer run roughshod over Dorian.

Not really. I get the feeling that Dorian was a democrat, more so than any of the Buchanans. And unlike the phony Viki, Dorian was a true blue where you knew where you stood with her.

That's a good idea. I thought of it as Dorian trying to show her serenity and being above it all, and Viki's red was expressing her fury at Dorian crashing the party and making a production.

I love this clip! Dorian and Viki look stunning. And don't you love how, for Independence Day, most of the men (and Alex) are in white, while Viki is in red and Dorian is in blue? I miss the old school Viki/Dorian rivalry so much. They somehow always managed to have dignity.

not quite--this was in 94--aout 7 months before all of Viki's altars emerged. Dorian learned of Tori, et al when she was imprisoned by Jean. "Tori" didnt confess untl December 1995

No, Dorian knew about Tori back when she was married to Victor, but just didn't know the names of the alters. Viki-as-Jean and Viki-as-Tori were not telling Dorian anything she didn't already know, despite Dorian being unconscious at the time. Perceptive Dorian saw early on that something was off about Viki back in the 1970s, but couldn't name it. Dorian was extremely sharp and perceptive and saw things that most others missed.

Yes! I think, however, I would have put Dorian in the red (to show her anger towards Viki) and Viki in the blue because Viki is "true blue" if you will. But nonetheless, good call!

Not really. Viki was red-angry that Dorian had been released. And Dorian, while angry, was open about her anger, which burned like a blue flame. And Dorian is the true blue, not Viki. With Dorian, you know where you stand whereas Viki would smile to your face while undermining you behind your back.

No. I don't think she knew about Tori back then.....even the writers didn't know about her back then! That's why the rewrite was so flawed.....Dorian had operated under the belief that she was responsible all those years....only when Viki confessed did Dorian learn of Tori's existence. THEN she kept it quiet....until all was revealed.

No, I think Dorian knew about all of Viki's alters but didn't know all of the alters' names. As early as the 1970s when Dorian was married to Victor and Viki was a university student, perceptive Dorian, who missed almost nothing, sensed that something was off about Viki, but couldn't put her finger on it. Yes, Dorian sometimes did fear that she had truly "killed" Victor and blocked it out of her mind. It was great seeing Viki and her alters exposed and Dorian finally vindicated.
