Some models were shipped defective and leaked. Never fill the tray with water before inserting the drum. Eg. Soak the filter but don't make it so wet that it fills the tray. Mine got a crack on the tank after something fell from a shelf. Learned the hard way that it wasn't forming a vacuum seal when I heard dripping onto the floor. It had flooded my bedside table! I managed to save my Dyson fan just in time! People complained about the hole in the bottom but without it water would overflow into the circuit and present a severe electrical hazard. Moral of the story: if it develops a crack in the tank, do not attempt to repair or use it. Just buy a new unit or contact the company for a replacement part (may work out cheaper to buy a whole new unit).

Read the instructions! You're supposed to soak the wick before first use so it easily draws up the water. I've found the vapo pads don't last very long.

You forgot to mention about the filter pad you got to wet it and also how to insert vapo pad their on the inside don’t do video if you gonna give wrong information

Sorry to say but this humidifier is a total waste of money. Buy an ultrasonic one which doesn't have pads to be replaced. In the end you will be spending the same amount as an expensive one when u will keep buying the pads for this one. The pad inside gets dirty very fast and needs replacement so if you round it up it will cost more in time. So better buy an transonic cold mist humidifier

Will that told me practically nothing I saw a papers pictures a video of box what does it do? Does it have a UV light? Does it kill 99.9% of germs what kind of Vicks can go into it? This is like the fourth video that did this why?

@@HBV90 i figured out why mines is leaking and there is a spring that opens up so that water can flow in but it overflows the tray and starts the leaking... Is there a way to fix it?
