“Nonstop” except for when u have to put wrap on it or the netting wrap.
That is a great machine and performs flawlessly. But I have a question for all the European farmers. Why do you always wrap every single bale of hay regardless of where you are on the European continent? Hasn't anyone in the continent ever seen or heard of a hay barn? I know it would save a massive amount of money you people spend on all the plastic wrap and a huge benefit to the environment. All by simply stacking the hay under a covered building. Just a question that's all
@lovejcdc5 жыл бұрын
That was a great answer thank you for explaining it. It just seemed odd to me since not a lot of regular livestock hay is wrapped like that. But it does make sense now.

@brucespidle87114 жыл бұрын
Actually likely would be cheaper per bale, as you are never stopping, and are eliminating a second tractor, operator, and wrapper for the wrapping process. Would typically be owned by custom or large haying operations, and is designed for haylage and silage hay operation. Not for dry hay baling.

JCBtractor it has a chopper kit in it with retractable knives, a drop floor, and a reverser, which generally will clear out any slugs without ever leaving the tractor seat. The bale is dropped on its end to prevent any rolling, and to make it easy to retrieve with a bale grabber on a tractor’s front end loader.
@ianbermingham90474 жыл бұрын
Yes I'd luv to see how the bales stay where they would be dropped by the baler on the steep hills of New Zealand 🤔, even on their ends 🤔😏
@brucespidle87114 жыл бұрын
Ian Bermingham I had the fortune to travel to your country’s South Island and bale hay back in the late 90’s. I was astounded at the hills we were baling on, with huge ravines right along the bottom ends of the paddocks! That operation was catching each bale as it was ejected and sitting them sideways, but one got away and “ski jumped” into the ravine. Great trip and learned a lot!
@TomoT0074 жыл бұрын
@@ianbermingham9047 the bales do not have to be turned on there side it has a option for the bale to be let down normally and has a option for the autounload bale to be disabled it also has a pre chamber main chamber and rap station room for 2and 3 thirds of a bale so when you get to the top of the hill you can then unload all bales and fill up the pre chamber so you can to the same at the bottom and so on so on. It works well on the welsh hills wich are probably just as steep as some of your hills.

Need to Use the net get away from plastic !
@brucespidle87114 жыл бұрын
Don Bray This baler is designed for haylage and silage hay operations, where wrapping with plastic is a necessity for fermenting the product. Net wrap is initially placed on the bale when it is ejected from the second chamber.
@Donnie9by54 жыл бұрын
Bruce Spidle I didn’t know you fed fermented food to animals!!
@brucespidle87114 жыл бұрын
Don Bray this is doing the same as what a forage harvester does, only there they pack it in large silage pits or standing silo structures when using them. Creates very sweet smelling and tasting rations, that are high in protein. Mostly used for dairy cows, but not for beef cattle.
@Donnie9by54 жыл бұрын
Bruce Spidle thanks for the explanation! I watch both beef and milk cow ranchers and must of missed that point!
