I am a Christian woman born and raised from a long line of Christians here in the USA. In all the time I have studied the bible and believed and God and prayed to him, I have always understood the necessity to respect others no matter their religion. As a nurse, I have cared for people from all walks of life, and all different religions. What people need to recognize is that not all Muslims are extremists. Although I do not believe in Allah, I refuse to group all Muslims as those like the ones that are anti-American, and full of hate. The extremists use the Muslim faith as a scape-goat for their evil deeds. As a Christian, I also recognize that we are not all the same. There are many sub-groups within Christianity that have different beliefs than mine. Jehovah's Witnesses are considered a cult, but are classified as Christians too. I have nothing against Witnesses either. We are all entitled to believe what we want as long as we don't push it on other people. But I have to say, some of the ugliest comments I have seen on this subject come from so-called Christians.

Even at the end the this present physical world our Lord shall make war with the dragon (Satan) with the sword from his mouth- Revelation 19:15" And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the wine press of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God". So it is sheer mistake when we forbid use of physical weapon but only Prayer to fight against these eaters of flesh and drinkers of blood. Apology to those concerned, I will be using biblical Israel to explain things better and clearer. In the time of biblical Israel, Israel fought with physical sword, spares and prayer was sometime used as the divine winning tool to reinforce the physical use of weapon, at other times only prayer/fasting were used- i will clarify/explain this later. 2Samuel 23:9-10 "and after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David when they defied the Philistines who were gathered there to battle and the men of Israel had withdrawn. 10He arose and struck the Philistines until his hand was weary and clung to the sword, and the LORD brought about a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to strip the slain". There were other times that Israel did not use physical weapon but God send an angel to kill 185,000 of the enemies that want to waste Israel for no just cause - Isiah 37:36 "Then the angel of the LORD went out and struck 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men arose early in the morning, behold, all of these were dead" At other times Israel on sang and the Lord destroy the enemy-2chronicle 20: 22"When they began singing and praising, the LORD set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; so they were routed. 23For the sons of Ammon and Moab rose up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir destroying them completely; and when they had finished with the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another.…". .At other time the Lord used pestilence to waste the unjust enemies- Exodus 13:15 "It came about, when Pharaoh was stubborn about letting us go, that the LORD killed every firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of beast". Now let me explain which weapon should be deployed in our contemporary time. We have a secular government in place so we are not a wholly religious christian nation-a wholly christian nation must use prayer and fasting to reinforce physical battle against any unjust enemy that would use weapon to force Islam on them- biblical examples: Israel was a singular nation under Moses -Psalm 105:12-15 "When they were but few in number,few indeed, and strangers in it,13they wandered from nation to nation,from one kingdom to another.14He allowed no one to oppress them;for their sake he rebuked kings:15“Do not touch my anointed ones;do my prophets no harm". Even when the Lord said that Israel will not need to fight in the battle led by Jehoshaphat it did not mean the soldiers were not present in the singing procession because it was written that the enemies were routed by Isreal-2Chron --20:22--, in fact the armies who routed the enemies were behind the singers -2 chron --20:21--. We see here that prayer made the battle a work over for Israel. Subsequently David waged series of winning WARS against enemies as king of Israel through prayers/ fastings. . Similarly when Israel was in captivities in Babylon, media/Persian, Greece and Rome they have no political right to acquire and use weapon against their unjust enemy that wanted to feast on them therefore Prayer and fasting was used as their formidable weapon to overcome their enemies. .However it will surprise you to note that despite the divine intervention through prayer Israel still used swords to subdue and destroy their advancing enemies -Esther 9:5. Another shocking revelation was that while Israel was even in Captivity under medio/Persia empire Nehemiah after praying and fasting obtain the Kings favour and engaged Israelite to build Jerusalem with one hand and fight the enemies with sword with the other hand..Nehemian --4:16---18 "16From that day on, half of my servants carried on the work while half of them held the spears, the shields, the bows and the breastplates; and the captains were behind the whole house of Judah. 17Those who were rebuilding the wall and those who carried burdens took their load with one hand doing the work and the other holding a weapon. 18As for the builders, each wore his sword girded at his side as he built, while the trumpeter stood near me". Moses used prayer backed signs and wonder WITHOUT physical weapons in biblical Egypt- Exod 12:29-30(because they are foreigners without weapon and without governmental responsibility/protection of life and properties so God fought the battle them), Esther used prayer and fasting in medio/Persia kingdom and the enemies of God's children had favour with the king and slew with SWORD (authorised by the king) the enemies that would have slew them - Esther 9:5. It therefore follows that all Christians that are victimized in every countries where they exist as ethnic indigene (not a wholly christian nation) should resort to use of prayer and fasting supported by national government/armed to crush their blood thirsty enemies. As an integrated ethnic Christians existing within a secular multi-religious, multi-ethnic Nation where national defence and the safety of lives and properties are the responsibilities of the armed forces/police Christian should use the bestowed divine favour to ask for protection by armed forces against their tormentors. Nehemiah was given all the material for building the logistic and even thousands of TROOPS he did not even request-Nehemiah 2:9. Why Christians were being killed successfully is because the body of Christ (Christendom) is divided, and the factions are not praying at all or their collective prayer/fasting are not massive enough to move the hand of HIM that rules the word and upturn things in their favour(massiveness in terms of number and prayer length). Even where the Lord has already given them victory spiritually they failed to use the divine favour that will compel their sovereign national government to use its armed forces in both Islamic and secular state to destroy or capture their tormentors as prisoners of war. A personal problem require a personal MACHINE GUN infantry prayer fire, a regional problem require a regional MORTAR FIRE of Holy Ghost, A national crisis require ARTILLERY FIRE of Holy ghost and power- 1 Cor 4:20! Our command is to PUSH (Pray Until Something Happen). If all Christians in the besieged countries unite and call upon the Lord in repentance, prayer and fasting I bet you the Lord will arise to defend his children and waste the blood thirsty Jihadists through the organized national armed forces -11 Chron --7:14--. In concluding, only the battles or conflict where biblical Israel did not use physical weapon at all are the eleven plagues against biblical Egypt-Exodus 7-12 (snake, blood, frog, gnat, flies, livestock, boil, hail,locust, darkness and firstborn) and the angelic destruction of 185,000 killers of biblical Israel- Isiah 37. God those not do anything for us but he does things through us. God only fight our physical battle for us where we outrightly do not have any national army to defend us (be it Islamic national army or secular) or any weapon to fight as a sub-nation or marginalized christian sect, but we must pray and fast to till we come to know how God want to fight for and defend us. Even all the middle east Muslim allieds are fighting their jihadist now. The truth is that the jihadist like ISIL, AL SHABAB, AL QAEDA and others are the fighting armed forces of Islam whose sword by divine intervention is now being turned against the Muslims they are supposed to protect - 2 Chronicle 20:23! We refuse to be feasted on by this ungodly satanic agents. 2 Timothy 3:9-" But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. Your message should be solidarity to the Christians injured or killed and to all Christians all over the world who will still face persecution before the second coming of our Lord and Christ. You must speak against evil as a christian or unbiased observer, you are not being empathetic with Muslim or "balancing the odds"(because there is not odd to balance) by trying to hit hard at hearty comments from christian for no evil committed by Christians! There is nothing ugliest about what christian said here rather if your spous or close relation fell victim of this Islamic killing then i wonder how "UGLIESTEST" your comment will be. So it is sheer mistake when we forbid use of physical weapon but only Prayer to fight against these eaters of flesh and drinkers of blood. In the time of biblical Israel, Israel fought with physical sword, spares and prayer was sometime used as the divine winning tool to reinforce the physical use of weapon, at other times only prayer/fasting were used- i will clarify/explain this later. 2Samuel 23:9-10 "and after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David when they defied the Philistines who were gathered there to battle and the men of Israel had withdrawn. 10He arose and struck the Philistines until his hand was weary and clung to the sword, and the LORD brought about a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to strip the slain". There were other times that Israel did not use physical weapon but God send an angel to kill 185,000 of the enemies that want to waste Israel for no just cause - Isiah 37:36 "Then the angel of the LORD went out and struck 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men arose early in the morning, behold, all of these were dead" At other times Israel on sang and the Lord destroy the enemy-2chronicle 20: 22"When they began singing and praising, the LORD set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; so they were routed. 23For the sons of Ammon and Moab rose up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir destroying them completely; and when they had finished with the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another.…". .At other time the Lord used pestilence to waste the unjust enemies- Exodus 13:15 "It came about, when Pharaoh was stubborn about letting us go, that the LORD killed every firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of beast". Now let me explain which weapon should be deployed in our contemporary time. We have a secular government in place so we are not a wholly religious christian nation-a wholly christian nation must use prayer and fasting to reinforce physical battle against any unjust enemy that would use weapon to force Islam on them- biblical examples: Israel was a singular nation under Moses -Psalm 105:12-15 "When they were but few in number,few indeed, and strangers in it,13they wandered from nation to nation,from one kingdom to another.14He allowed no one to oppress them;for their sake he rebuked kings:15“Do not touch my anointed ones;do my prophets no harm". Even when the Lord said that Israel will not need to fight in the battle led by Jehoshaphat it did not mean the soldiers were not present in the singing procession because it was written that the enemies were routed by Isreal-2Chron --20:22--, in fact the armies who routed the enemies were behind the singers -2 chron --20:21--. We see here that prayer made the battle a work over for Israel. Subsequently David waged series of winning WARS against enemies as king of Israel through prayers/ fastings. . Similarly when Israel was in captivities in Babylon, media/Persian, Greece and Rome they have no political right to acquire and use weapon against their unjust enemy that wanted to feast on them therefore Prayer and fasting was used as their formidable weapon to overcome their enemies. .However it will surprise you to note that despite the divine intervention through prayer Israel still used swords to subdue and destroy their advancing enemies -Esther 9:5. Another shocking revelation was that while Israel was even in Captivity under medio/Persia empire Nehemiah after praying and fasting obtain the Kings favour and engaged Israelite to build Jerusalem with one hand and fight the enemies with sword with the other hand..Nehemian --4:16---18 "16From that day on, half of my servants carried on the work while half of them held the spears, the shields, the bows and the breastplates; and the captains were behind the whole house of Judah. 17Those who were rebuilding the wall and those who carried burdens took their load with one hand doing the work and the other holding a weapon. 18As for the builders, each wore his sword girded at his side as he built, while the trumpeter stood near me". Moses used prayer backed signs and wonder WITHOUT physical weapons in biblical Egypt- Exod 12:29-30(because they are foreigners without weapon and without governmental responsibility/protection of life and properties so God fought the battle them), Esther used prayer and fasting in medio/Persia kingdom and the enemies of God's children had favour with the king and slew with SWORD (authorised by the king) the enemies that would have slew them - Esther 9:5. It therefore follows that all Christians that are victimized in every countries where they exist as ethnic indigene (not a wholly christian nation) should resort to use of prayer and fasting supported by national government/armed to crush their blood thirsty enemies. As an integrated ethnic Christians existing within a secular multi-religious, multi-ethnic Nation where national defence and the safety of lives and properties are the responsibilities of the armed forces/police Christian should use the bestowed divine favour to ask for protection by armed forces against their tormentors. Nehemiah was given all the material for building the logistic and even thousands of TROOPS he did not even request-Nehemiah 2:9. Why Christians were being killed successfully is because the body of Christ (Christendom) is divided, and the factions are not praying at all or their collective prayer/fasting are not massive enough to move the hand of HIM that rules the word and upturn things in their favour(massiveness in terms of number and prayer length). Even where the Lord has already given them victory spiritually they failed to use the divine favour that will compel their sovereign national government to use its armed forces in both Islamic and secular state to destroy or capture their tormentors as prisoners of war. A personal problem require a personal MACHINE GUN infantry prayer fire, a regional problem require a regional MORTAR FIRE of Holy Ghost, A national crisis require ARTILLERY FIRE of Holy ghost and power- 1 Cor 4:20! Our command is to PUSH (Pray Until Something Happen). If all Christians in the besieged countries unite and call upon the Lord in repentance, prayer and fasting I bet you the Lord will arise to defend his children and waste the blood thirsty Jihadists through the organized national armed forces -11 Chron --7:14--. In concluding, only the battles or conflict where biblical Israel did not use physical weapon at all are the eleven plagues against biblical Egypt-Exodus 7-12 (snake, blood, frog, gnat, flies, livestock, boil, hail,locust, darkness and firstborn) and the angelic destruction of 185,000 killers of biblical Israel- Isiah 37. God those not do anything for us but he does things through us. God only fight our physical battle for us where we outrightly do not have any national army to defend us (be it Islamic national army or secular) or any weapon to fight as a sub-nation or marginalized christian sect, but we must pray and fast to till we come to know how God want to fight for and defend us. Even all the middle east Muslim allieds are fighting their jihadist now. The truth is that the jihadist like ISIL, AL SHABAB, AL QAEDA and others are the fighting armed forces of Islam whose sword by divine intervention is now being turned against the Muslims they are supposed to protect - 2 Chronicle 20:23! +Jonathan Amuzie Islam is not evil. Muslims are not suppose to kill peole or hurt them if they did not hurt them first. Muslims prophet muhhamad when he was in a country the people hurted him for no reason and throwed harmfull things in his way because he was explaining to them about islam nicely and they hurted him so badly, and years after when he had the chance to pay them back for hurting him he just said go you are free. Can anyone justify JUSTICE to me? what justice is in the Law when Boko Haram has to be prosecuted? Does Boko Haram prosecute their victim in a legal court of law?
