To be fair, both seasons, he never had a true off season. First season, he was still playing overseas up until the draft. This season, he was in the Olympics, so he’s never had a “true” off season. I’m sure next season he won’t have such a slow start.

I need some Julian Champagnie content. He is just jacking it up as soon as the ball hits his hand and is really impactful on the defensive end. Him and Castle are really providing good support on perimeter defense

If he becomes unstoppable ,it’d be interesting to see how teams will be built to stop or slow him down, similar to how teams were built to deal with shaq in the early 2000s, 3-4 centers deep just to take fouls and be able to put a body on shaq

I doubt voters see the same as me, and with how sports have become more of a popularity contest (I guess mostly towards all-star selections, maybe not so much awards) I doubt but also don’t doubt it would happen. Wemby could win MVP, as long as the spurs make the playoffs. Most Valuable Player doesn’t mean BEST player in the league imo, it means, as the definition, most VALUABLE. Only thing that I have against this is the nuggets ORTG with Jokic on and off, but the same can be said about Wemby with the spurs DRTG on and off. Regardless, I can see it happen if he somehow keeps this production, maybe a 5x5 again, and makes the playoffs? I can see an MVP.

O think they are switching so often because they know no one can block him and they are trying to take advantage of the big man handles with the quicker guards. It worked with okc, but they have very very good defensive guards

Do you think he’s made a jump defensively? He is my dpoy and maybe this is cuz of his load but I feel like his motor may be a little bit lower and I’m not sure he’s more impactful. He had for sure improved his biting on pump fakes.
