He reminds me of Dirk offensively, remember that he trained with Nowitzki's personnal coach. So he learned a things or two from him and his shooting mechanics look very similar. Defensively it's safe to say Rudy Gobert, they've also trained together and he can do almost all of the things that Rudy can do and some others things better than Rudy. Him and his coach when he was playing for ASVEL talked about making him guard ball handlers for the duration of games, if there's guys they wouldn't know how to stop they would put Wemby on him. That didn't happen because of the nature of that particular season, but well a smart coach would at least experiment with that in the NBA... We've seen Pop putting Sochan on pointguards, that could very well be the case with Victor too, when Curry, Lillard, KD or Doncic put up 20 points in a quarter for exemple and that even Sochan can't stop them. If Wemby's personnal team end up working well with the Spurs coaching and development staff, the Spurs as a whole are going to become so much better and way more efficient. Like we're talking about visionnary methods of training, fitness, rest etc. Something on LeBron's equipment level but for the entire team, because that's what Victor is about. He wants to develop the entire franchise, all the facilities etc. If the Spurs make the financial investments they will be on the cutting edge of sports innovations, because they're bringing those kind of people in and that kind of player. Victor wants to improve things. And the leader that he is is underrated, when you see everything that his team went through during the season, he pulled them together and brought them to the quarter finals, they might win the Pro A championship at this point.

To me the biggest concern besides injuries is 1) whether he wants to be AD or KP on offense and 2) if he picks the later can he develop into a plus shooter. He should be an elite defender from day 1 so the ceiling is just a matter of shot diet, skill development and strength. He'll be an elite lob threat but if teams can just switch or put a wing on him like they do KP or Rudy and not care about his 1 ppp on post ups that really changes the impact. He has to be able to punish switches like AD.

Wemby is the exact same player i created for NBA Live 2007. 7'3" who plays like a guard, can shoot from anywhere, can dribble and can block shots. My team went 75-7. So be prepared to see the Spurs break the all time nba record and go 75-7.

In playoffs his team (which wasn't good till he came in) is 1 win from the finals... and will play against Monaco, really close to be in Euroleague finals : he can be MVP of the finals and win the championship. Ok it's not NBA : far from it. But it's a pro league with grown men, not HS or College teams. He's gonna be defensive poy. And best defender in the league day 1. His IQ on offense is gonna need to improve. It will under pop. I see pop using him for rim protection and paint defense/boards on D. On offense hell use him on the block with a turn around j. Timmy style 2.0. There will literally be no need for wemby to work anywhere on offense but the corner 3 and the paint in pops eyes. He will not do point center, he won't be shooting elbow threes. He won't be playmaking too much. He run some motion, pnr, pnpop, and post up. Pop will turn him into tim Duncan 2.0.

And only4 players had impact in nba And no players had long prime time becausebis injuries Wembanyama is so hyped because his a big man who can play like a guard but playing like a guard will make more injuries. And his mid range jumper is not even 40% and his 3point percentage is 25~29.5 and the greek freak is 27.5percent Webanyama is not that good yet He is acting like center who can play guard with high efficiency but he really isn't And his stats in france is stat padded, he went to the weakest team in france, and that team was all about raising wembanyama's stats I don't know how his future going to be, but right now, his is a not a big man who has ability to play like a proper guard. His skills as a guard are too over rated. In what world we say about a player who shoots below 40percentage in mid rang jumper and below 30percent 3points shots can be said he can play like a guard

Finesse players becomes much less effective in the playoffs. In these highlights, Wembanyama has no effective defender on him, totally absent of physical play. I think every weakness of his is based on his lack of strength. Not weight, but strength. Handle is loose, gets bumped off spots a lot, rebounding, and finishing. All of it would be mitigated by him just being strong. If he gets to like 245lbs he’d be perfect probably

O V E R R A T E D ! ! Looks great against non-NBA players. Weakness will be exposed. Paid professionals to look for weakness will find it. Currently known weakness, physical defense. Like so many big men, injuries from an 82 game grind will be a BIG detriment on his career. First 2 years a learning process, year 3-5 he will be good, not great. Then realities from the physical grind on a fragile frame sets in.

The European professional leagues are probably the best place to be for a draft prospect, as it has been demonstrated. He has broad shoulders and can fill out his frame. Atop this, Pop is infamous for generously resting star players. Kevin Durant is maybe the greatest scorer in league history. Victor has the physicality of Durant and is literally 5 inches taller.
