I imagine the Spurs trade an insane amount of quality picks for the rights to land Cooper Flagg. Once that happens, that will be the best 2 way threat squad in the league. Maybe ever. And that’s on year 1-2 Imagine they all take hometown deals (probs can’t happen after rookie scale contracts are up) and stay for a couple extra years.. say 5 total That’s 3 rings in 5 years assuming no major injuries and a bench that can spell. You want an argument ? Lebron is a 2x runner up for MVP, 2009 and 2013 (Robbed by M.Gasol), and 5x 1st team all defense, and 1x 2nd team all defense . MJ never had a defensive serie as close as Lebron in the 2016 Finals, he nearly averaged 3 steals and 3 Blocks, all while being the best help defender on earth at the time (Before Giannis prime). So say what you want but even the best analysts in the world like Ben Taylor from thinking Basketball think peak Bron was a better defender than MJ, and even in 2020 he was still a Top 5 wing defender, close to Kawhi … You can watch the thinking basketball videos with all the stats for more proof, if you want to be educated of course.
