Peak Christcore, I love it. My path has been a bit out of order, I only recently started reading the Word (Better late than never, plus when I was younger I wasn't a full believer, thinking more with my brain than my heart/spirit, but after some time of the 2 conflicting, God won as he always does) I've also been more passionate about music the past couple years, getting out of my music rut and into heavier music, mostly through Christian Metal bands and their inspirational lyrics. But finally being able to notice the Bible references in songs I love, even more so in Christian metal that wasn't easy to tell it was Christian without knowledge of the Bible (Like Demon Hunter and such) Compared to bands who's Christian message is more obvious that anyone can easily tell (like Living Sacrifice) It's just been incredible seeing the path he has laid out for me unfold.

I've been really struggling too, with a lot of stuff recently. For years now it's been a back and forth battle between Christ and my flesh with the darkness of sin in it, with me caught in the middle being an active participant in the flesh mostly. The more I sinned the more I realized just how true God's word is, and people have been twisting that all up and beyond these days. I've had lots.. and lots.. and lots of doubt and pride and self-centeredness, mostly because I was really resisting that I had to serve him and deny myself which deep down I never really wanted to do. I didn't want to praise God because I didn't see his goodness, how big and glorious he truly is, because there was always that hint of judgement with it, that feeling of "I'm not that important and I'm not going to make it because I'm not good enough no matter how much I do, because I'm just imperfect and sinful." It really was just terrible, stuck on this constantly, torn between what the world says and what God says. Not fully believing in one or the other, afraid of being lukewarm as well as punishment all-in-all, which is the only real reason I ever continued 'following' him, feeling like I had to fork over time and blood, sweat, and tears for someone who sits on a throne all day and demands glory just because he exists. I am bad, really bad. I don't know why I resent him or can't seem to see him fully or never have enough faith for it to count, if even any at all and not just trying to imagine him there. I really want him to be with me, and I just can't seem to muster the strength or heart or soul or might or mind in myself to love him.. I'm a wreck. All I want is for him to say "I'm here" and for me to miraculously change, somehow.. but I don't even know if i even want that. So for just once, for my sake, please just pray for me, anyone. Please.

@Sanzen God is sovereign over the trend, and He uses the law and the gospel to call His sheep to him. The God you are describing isnt sovereign or even a good description of the God of the Bible.
