A funny experience I had: while playing Germany and destroying France, I nation ruined them to the point where they went into a death spiral of taking loans from MY bank, declaring bankruptcy from the deficit, taking more loans from my bank, somehow still having a large enough deficit to go bankrupt the next day, and making the game unplayable by spamming me with bankruptcy events. I had to edit my save file and turn them into an uncivilized (non westernized) nation to cut them off from the International economic system. 10/10 working as intended

The Pop and Trade tabs do have uses. Pop tab is super helpful when figuring out where to put your national Foci, and the trade tab is useful for building troops/factories/improvements without waiting for the inefficient AI stockpile buying to slowly get there.
