The most entertaining part was seeing how Alaska kept changing its name for unknown reasons
@HanakoSeishin4 күн бұрын
Alyaska is a transliteration of its Russian name Аляска, and it's silly to have it in the game, seeing how the common English spelling Alaska is just a different transliteration of the same name. What next, a regime change is gonna change it to Aliaska to signify how a proponent of a yet another transliteration system came to power? BTW, this y/i doesn't actually stand for a separate sound (and that's why it's not present in the common English spelling), and instead for the preceding L being soft, which means for a consonant to be pronounced _as if_ followed by an /i/ sound, but in Russian consonants can have this pronunciation without actually being followed by an /i/. American American company was hilarious though.

Thats not a bug. that is the intent of the new deign. IRL the Irish were heavily discriminated in the US. the Chinese even in the 1920's were arrested simply for being in public in California during the Flu pandemic. and they still migrated here in droves. Italians Especially Sicilian Italians were treated as bad or worse that "native blacks" when they migrated. none of that stops people from coming over. life in America was Believed to be so much better that even with the rampant discrimination it was worth coming here anyway. Discrimination still has an impact. namely lowering the effective SOL a Pop checks when they move. but then again. most moving pops are already discriminated against. like say Albanians in the ottoman empire or Poles in Russia. your hell scape may treat an Albanian protestant better than the ottomans do. so it makes perfect sense that they would move especially if there was better economic opportunity there. people don't just move to receive favorable treatment from government they move to build a better life. a rising tide lifts all boats. if the economic conditions are good enough it is entirely possible for someone to receive a better life despite discrimination after moving from a place where they were favored by the government. people can and have literally sold themselves into slavery just to get here. Now that is a rather extreme example and I wouldn't call that a rational decision. but it does illustrate the point. Discrimination or lack there of has little to do with migration patterns. (actually discrimination tends to spike against whatever group migrates fast enough for the population change to be noticed. if anything mass migration increases discrimination something the new neighbors new grudges event captures. if a bit poorly.)

I literally got the game with all the DLCs after watching people play and regret it. The new suppressing or bolstering is extremely difficult (or bugs) than the older ones I’ve watched. You literally can’t get anything done. After trying 3-4 times, Ludi released a video on Japan so I followed what he did but within 5-6 minutes, my play was significantly different than his. I assume there was an update or something. Might end up quitting and never touching the game
@derekskelton41873 күн бұрын
Never watch a Ludi video expecting to follow his gameplay. Dude is pretty notorious for using console commands to get content. Tarkusarkusar is generally better for that, but yeah this game is rough for that, because a lot of it is responding to events to get the results you want.
