Quill, go buy yourself a lottery ticket, holy crap!! - two back to back 5% law progress rolls, then a positive roll to get to 15%, then an assent roll at 15% chance. Astronomically low odds of that happening :O

Quill, the benefit of proportional taxation in this patch is that you can tax dividends, which means you can freely privatize almost all public buildings and still get a large chunk of the profit while also getting the raw money from the sale of government assets. The meta seems to be to build government nationalized industry until you get proportional taxation, then privatize everything and reap the higher efficiency while still getting a chunk of the profits.

I reccomend you start thinking about changing the voting laws to maybe wealth voting, that would allow a greater amount of votes to the rural folk and intelligencia to pass more reforms, and also homesteading.

You have unincorporated states I recommend you core them because you are losing out on taxes and they don't get the benefits from schooling or poor law's

somewhat but thats more of a luxury item the lower class in the game usually just buy basic grain and some meat

Love the series but fyi Government administrations do not break even for China, not even close. You will always spend quite a bit more on the salaries and paper than you earn from reducing the tax capacity deficit. As long as you can keep the national bureaucracy in the green thats all the gov admin buildings you need.

Hey Quill. Could you make an updated How to Economy guide with Spheres of Influence. Despite having many hours in the game, I am still struggling with finances as I get into the debt spiral all the time.

Protectionism gets you more money, while Free Trade lets anyone buy your goods and at greater volume. Free Trade results in a higher profitability of a factory/workers whereas Protectionism results in higher profitability for the state.

You should build 3 millions grain/rice farms

You need to be careful with that. Subsistence farms employ 10k people while plantations employees 5k people. So by building plantations, you are making 5k people unemployed. Great if you need people to work in factories, not great if you have more people than you know what to do with.
