Because if I like what I see I rather buy it than something I don't like. Most clothes today are new and original but absolutely not to my taste. I only modernise if I "like" the modern. If its crap I don't waste a second thought about it.

Clariccy, there is no such thing as totally original thoughts. Everything comes from something else. What is original is when someone takes 2 ideas, and puts them together, in a way that we have not seen before. If someone tells me that they are so original, I tell them that is because they have not seen enough. Once you know your history in the arts, you will see a reference point to everything. Now , some designers are more clever in there combinations, but they were inspired by something else. I hope I did not bore you, I gave you a short version.

I totally agree with you, she's the real deal. She's consistent and she designs from a particular point. I like her clean nicely tailored approach to fashion. It's attractive classic and no excess. I might add every piece is very wearable, you won't have to worry about looking like a lunatic if you happen to live in some location other than New York City.

I don't know about all or a lot of what is being said... but..burgandy dress ate beginning was nice, those slouch boots were working for me. Nice yellow patterned style dress in there, a couple of the jackets I liked, dress @ 4:26.was god. Just my quick lay person opinion.

Watching her show I think the main issue is what makes it any special. Her clothes are nice and casual and wearable, but at the end of the day, if I can't feel any emotion about the clothes then the clothes become just stuff and I don't need more stuff. Watching Celine Spring 2015, Lanvin Spring 2016, there's something more to the clothes than just fabric. It's the feeling also and even Celine Spring 2018. I started crying when I saw the show for Celine Spring 2018. It really touched me on a different level and made me reevaluate and see life in a different aspect. Higher end fabric should make you feel a different kind of way; otherwise, what's the point of paying so much money for her clothes when you can get something similar at a different brand for a fraction of the price. I notice what differentiates good designers is that they have a story, mood, attitude, or vibe they are trying to recreate. You get the consumer and customer stuck in the moment and in a fantasy. That's really important. But at the same time, this is New York Fashion Week which is supposed to be more commercially driven.

I like VB because she has an eye for the classic. Most of these pieces you will be able to wear for years to come because they have a classic look to them.
