She had such a great attitude to success, being grateful for being recognised and not moaning about it like most celebrities.

I love how firm and clear her answers are and if she wants to correct something she does. Platitudes don’t affect her at all.

I missed Donna Culver Krebbs and Pamala Barnes Ewing when they did not return to the show. Yes, my two favorite actresses from Dallas are Susan Howard and Victoria Principal. Bobby & Pam and Ray & Donna all four of them were in way they were anchors of the program.

She was a smart cookie leaving Dallas just as it was sinking and she didn't need to look back becoming huge with her Principal Secret empire. Loved all her post Dallas tv movies too she is such a talented understated actress who wasnt allowed to show her full range as Pam. 💓

Can anyone tell me when this interview was? I am curious, Victoria mentions being in a relationship with her husband Harry Glassman for six years, but married for nearly three - I thought she was with Andy Gibb in 1982?

Hi @AlanaLightfoot It was in the late 80s 1988 or 1989 when I recorded it off Good Morning Britain. She got married to Harry in 1985 I think.

It really was too bad she left Dallas just as Bobby and Pam got back together. Oh how we all missed Pam. I think she does come off as a little too serious when answering Dallas questions. I still think something else happened behind the scenes that she and Lorimar only know. I often wondered if she had stayed with the show maybe for about 75-80 percent of the episodes for each season if she would have been allowed to also do her tv movies or if was in fact 100% adamant about severing ties with Dallas completely? However, this is a good interview and does give more insight on how she felt about herself and Dallas after she left.

She wanted salary parity with Patrick Duffy (who got a huge raise when he returned to the show in 1986) and a one year contract. Lorimar wasn’t willing to give her the money (even though she deserved to make the same as Duffy) and wanted a two-year contract. When she declined, they released a statement that they let her go and she was pissed, and her lawyer demanded and got a retraction. A few years later, during the storyline where Sue Ellen made her movie and they showed flashbacks to previous episodes, there were no clips of Victoria. And during the Pam lookalike story, Bobby showed the lookalike a picture of Pam, which was shown at an odd angle and clearly wasn’t Victoria. So she was still angry enough to deny them permission to use her image. That’s pretty unusual.

@@jaredjlinden That is not true, Victoria told them 2 years before that she wanted to leave, The show was going down hill fast it should have ended before it got seriously unbearable to watch so very sad for a show that was the best ever, It should have ended when Bobby left they could have given Bobby and Pam their happy ever after.
