Thanks for your insight. Do you limit yourself a specific time frame when working on a problem in CTCI?
@VickyMei4 жыл бұрын
depends on what type of questions i think. i tried to time my self from time to time to make sure im aware of time while working on those questions.

should i learn programming language first or directly start with this book?? (I know python and html)
@VickyMei Жыл бұрын
This is meant for prepping for interview. Not for learning algorithms or the languages. So def learn at least one programming language then start. This book uses examples in Java. I would suggest prep interviews with python if you know it. If not. Maybe use js

You are very welcome, you can check out kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGfOnHmkm9R7g7M video to find out more about resources to learn. i would recommend to learn with another book along with videos, practice with leetcode or hackerrank. I also have a daily routine video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/aneXgZxmbpprf68 to show how i would plan out my day if im full time interviewing

When did u start to use this book um i mean in which year of ur engineering
@VickyMei4 жыл бұрын
honestly the book legit state that you should be prepping interviews 1 year ahead, because you need to build out some personal projects etc, but i would say really going hard on it was about 3months, like learning all the concepts, working on the problems. it takes time for the brain to get all the knowlege in. but i also seen people who are so smart that they never prep or study for it.

im 16 I know python javascript so it is it okay if I buy this book and at the same time learn java
@VickyMei3 жыл бұрын
probably not the best book to learn java, this is a book for people who are interviewing for software engineering positions at companies. if you just want to learn java from a book, there are a ton of books out there that are just for that purpose.
@Ayasir-lo3ir3 жыл бұрын
@@VickyMei thank you so much for the reply the reason I am doing this so that I can have easy time in university and don't have to go the awkward phases when interviewing for the job so I just need to learn java then do the book right?
@VickyMei3 жыл бұрын
@@Ayasir-lo3ir yes, since you already know python, what i would recommend probably is to use python for your interview, its faster to solve problems honestly, if you do want to learn java, go for it, the more the better! and the book walks you thru a lot of interview tips and how to plan interviews for a long term, so def a good book to keep!
@VickyMei3 жыл бұрын
@@Ayasir-lo3ir in fact if thats the case, i would say just get the book, and start reading, it gives you a lot of ideas how you should go about prepping for interviews, i would say that you dont wanna practice too early if you are not planning to get. ajob any time soon, spend time actually learning those concepts and then practice on the problems .. you dont really need to learn java, you can do interviews with python :)

For the love of sweet god, far left, on the TV screen, the world needs to know whats happening behind that plant. Like, what kind of TV just has a red square booping and bopping up and down only six inches of the middle of the left of the screen?!?!?!?!?! :)
