How intresting!! But whrere did you find all these grstures? And how did people at the time learned what yhey ment? It sory of remind me of the lenguaje of flowers but i suspect there wasn't an ensiclopedia of fan lenguaje 😅
@VictoriaShelg4 жыл бұрын
There is a version that this language was constantly corrected by young people themselves, so that others would not learn the meanings of the gestures. However duch a language was developed as an advertising campaign to increase fans sales, so it's difficult to say whether it was used as a way of vommunication or was just a game. In any case, this is indeed a very interesting part!

It depends. This would be used by the "upper class" and passed down. The "poor" wouldn't dress like this and of course probably not notice if they came across this. We still have our ways to flirt or speak without using our voice. I never knew about the fan thing till today and I recognized a few from films. This was awesome!

Don't try to communicate with japanese women with fans. I heard those fans really hurt when thrown at your face and can break noses. Some even have very sharp blades. It is a sign they want your fresh blood, Yandere I highly suspect. They look like very pretty young women who wants your attention, cuddleness, treat you as your servant and sing songs with you BUT they are demons who will aggressively attack you if they are being neglected or being jealous for any stupid reason. They are very difficult beings to sleep with especially if he is very drained afterwards if you know what I mean (wink wink). Yanderes says that if men are dry is because they are 100% cheaters and so they take them out while the guy is sleeping. True story.

@VictoriaShelg4 жыл бұрын
There is no information, but I suppose that theoretically they could (including with a fan, since it could be a male accessory too). But in practice, the flirting of objects as an instrument of coquetry, it is likely, did not correspond to the image of the Victorian gentleman
@pushista93223 жыл бұрын
@@VictoriaShelg If men didn't do secret flirting, did they convey their messages with something more solid, like words or letters? Something a woman would be compromised by?
@VictoriaShelg3 жыл бұрын
@@pushista9322 Letters were a universal means of communication. Even a necessary ritual. As for a flirting of fan or gloves, in most cases, most likely it turned into a game finally

The point is a couple could have tgeir oun menings of gestures. So that only two can translate it. But, yes, youbare right. Since the fan language was published as a primotion trick it most likely turned out just into romantic game
