I use them all the time in my venison butchering shop matter of fact, while I'm watching this video. My wife just ordered me 2 more of the new 3 and a 1/2 inch orange handle knives. I love to use them for skinning. They're great. Victor knox will be the only knife in my butcher's shop.

Even though I have multiple hundreds of dollars in Japanese blades, refurbished and re- handled vintage sabatiers. I will, use, buy, and stand by the forschner as amazing starters, or just flat out users when you don't want to put your really expensive blades through the ringer. The forschner blades I have live right along side my 300+ dollar custom and Japanese knives in my bag, and will continue to do so.

I own several blades for example a shibata kotetsu gyuto thats very high end and i own several customs too for example one in Aeb-l at hrc 66. I still think Victorinox makes good working kitchen knives for the money and i own some of a 22cm and a chinese cleaver from em both that see regular use. So i have it pretty good mate. How are things with you?

I need to break down and get a decent set of kitchen knives. Mine are all old and crappy. I have over 50 folders, and 15 or 16 fixed blades, but not a single GOOD kitchen knife. I end up using what's in my pocket for slicing onions or tomatoes more often than I do one of our old crappy kitchen knives, lol. Sad, but true.

Yeah... Ignore the idiot adpocalype. Guy likes to talk out of his ass. These are good knives. I was skeptical of the materials and durability but they have not had any problem. Anyone who makes a huge fuss about blade steel is usually worth ignoring. Different steel is good for different things and not every knife has to be made from state of the art steel. It's not like you're going bear hunting with these knives, you're cutting tomatoes and pork roast.

Very good knives, I use f.dick myself, there activecut range is great value for the money, I also have there Premier US range, but there ergogrip serious boning and butchers knives are fantastic also. We are so lucky to have such great knives available

Just be ware that from the 8" and the 7.5 " chef knife there's a huge difference. It's just a different knife,should have bought the 8"
