Nice! This video is proof of how underrated the fish scaler is. I’m glad you started off by scaling fish, which is the main purpose of the tool but also showed many other uses for it.

Victorinox should pay you an advertising fee! I was considering buying a different brand of multi-tool, but after watching your videos, I absolutely believe that SAK's are the best tools available, and have bought a Victorinox Handyman. The Swiss Champ is very impressive, and I love that philips head screwdriver. It would be so useful for me. But, being female, I think the Swiss Champ is just too big for my hands. I already had a Huntsman; have had it for years, but really wanted pliers and some other features, so I got the Handyman. That's because of all the amazing uses you have shown in your videos. I've been watching your videos for days lol. I'm hooked! Thanks again, NikGyver!

about victorinox, sounds very cool lol.all the models are great, you decide which is better for you.the huntsman it was my edc at 1993-1996,very nice tool, with balance between edc and outdoor.the handyman is a level higher,i have a video about handyman Mors code scales.i glad that i helped, thank you.

Great ideas! We limit the usefulness of things by giving them names. Forget it’s for “scaling fish”, think of it as a another multipurpose tool, like the hook.

SAKWiki mentions using it for kids to carve pumpkins (here in the states we carve jack-o-lanterns at Halloween). The serrations are safe for the kids but sharp enough to carve the pumpkin.

Many thanks! I always though of the Fish Scaler a rather useless tool for me as I am not a Fisherman... I guess the only useless thing in me is the lack of imagination to use it! Thanks for the video as now I see It as a very interesting tool, specially as a screwdriver for those strange screws and to set elastics where I keep pinching my fingers! Greetings from Guatemala!

Yes, I have used it to cut cardboards. It does cut them real nice and without the risk of cutting yourself bc it's not sharp. But I didn't know many of the uses you provided in your video. I now know them. Another one that I remember now is the ability to measure depth. Thanks.

For the stargazers out there the width of your fist held at arms length equals about 10 degrees and that works for everyone cause peoples fists and arms are proportional, so you could use the ruler to measure your fist put your thumb there then use the gap in the hook remover as a "sight" B)

One of the tools could possibly be altered to be a seatbelt cutter. It would hook onto the edge of the seatbelt, by pulling on it, it would cut the seatbelt in two. Only to be used in case of a Road Traffic Accident (RTA). (UK)

It’s probably just to have about the same curvature as the body of a medium sized fish, so scaling can be quicker as the scaler manages to reach the whole width of the fish at once.
