Expensive for what you get? No. I've beat this watch to absolute hell. I've broken g shocks for reference and my inox is perfectly fine. Also remember that victoribox is one hell of a quality producing company. Correct me if I'm wrong but they even make their own steel.

Kevin have you ever look into Boldr watches? They have quartz and automatic watches for fair prices. I think the venture black carbon is their best value , It’s a field style titanium case automatic movement watch that’s 200m water resistance for $299.00 I’m very hard on my watches , I’ve own many Casio G shocks and the Boldr Venture I have had for about 3 years actually outlasted my Gshocks. I think you would like Boldr they have many different styles that range from $299 to $800

Yeah I have looked there are a couple Boldr watches that I really like I will likely add one to the rotation in the near future

Just buy the titanium or work out. 225 grams on a bracelet is not bad if you aren't weak
