I've got one like that somewhere, most likely lost. So I had one like that, but I don't think it was that old, but had all the tools. It could even had been my dad's. Definitely remember the tools and appearance.

Nice addition to your collection. Like you, I love the older Victorinox knives. They feel different in the hand but I can't exactly say why. The back springs definitely have a stronger snap. I have a few Tourists but I prefer the Sportsman with the nail file.

When I learnt that the 84mm Tourist was discontinued I checked eBay for one and was lucky enough to buy one of the more recently made versions new in box from a French eBay seller at a reasonable price and not long after it shot up by 20% in price and a few weeks later was out of stock. It is for all intents and purposes the smaller brother of the Spartan and like the Spartan I collect them for their decorative scales or in the Tourist case due to it now being discontinued. I also have 6 of the Tourists nearest cousin the 84mm Sportsman both with the old and new nail files which I include in my carry rotation as a Gentleman's knife for a night out rather than for daytime carry and I was fortunate enough to buy some different coloured scales for 3 of them and 2 of my 6 Sportsmen are the 2018 White Christmas versions (both bought at a discount from my local dealer during a 48 hour duration 50% off sale).

72 was when they changed to 4 turn corkscrew but you could see 5 turn on things for over a year after that because they were using up the old stock as Victorinox always does. I noticed it takes about 2 years on old stuff to change and be rid of old design implements and that can make it a little hard to date. 72/73 was a big change with Victorinox stuff.

As always, a bottomless pit of knowledge 🙏🏻

that is from 68 to about 73-ish and they weren't called Tourist then because what we know as an Alox Voyageur was called a Tourist then. Not sure what they called that model then. I know it's hard to believe I don't know the name of that. Anything with a keyring is 68-ish and onwards. You are starting to build a nice collection of the old stuff finally. I hope you get more old Alox soon

The tip on the clip blades were very delicate and broke off kind of easy and the small spear is a lot thicker by the tip but they could have just mage the clip a little thicker in the last 8th of the blade and it would have been fine.
