The chase for realism has made the energy of arcade-style titles of yore (racing and otherwise) need to be carried on either by the old guard developers that happen to still be kicking, or indie developers that were inspired by those very titles in the first place. It's a sort of unfortunate fate, but you take what you can get and support the devs that make what you're looking for so they can potentially make more. That said, this game continues to look stellar. I wish skydevilpalm the best.

We need more arcade racers to summarise. We've had sim racing titles for too long, some fun and colorful arcade racers are needed to balance it all out.

I watched the video once, dropped a like, downloaded the game myself and then proceeded to play through the demo multiple time(even doing a run of me using the "Oh God Why" camera setting), and feel in love with this game. I *NEED* this game to have a full release. the sense of speed, the controls, the music, the everything about this game hits Perfectly.

The scream when the cars explode have my knees weak 😭 Fr tho definitely gonna follow this game. Growing up on Daytona USA and Out Run, I’ve never been satisfied with the lack of arcade racers either, and NFS just hasn’t really hit the same for me as it did with the 05 Most Wanted and Underground entries, so I’ve just been avoiding the genre for the most part(Hotshot Racing wasn’t bad, though). Hopefully this scratches the former game group’s itch!

Yeah, after the PS2/XBOX/Gamecube, arcade racers have been dying out. Sure you do have sleeper hits in the 7th gen like Split/Second, Blur, Midnight Club LA and Dirt and 3 (even though they are more simcade, they were still awesome), but racing games started getting... derivative and stale and all the innovation is mostly seen in indie games nowadays

Some more animation frames for the cars would've been a nice thing. Just about eight frames are way to less for a 360°-spin, it looks jagged.

I think it adds to the satisfaction of drifting. I don't mind the look, but maybe more frames could make it better.

You gotta play Boom! Buster, next. It's also a Christmas SAGE game with fast paced arcade style game with bomb sorting mechanics similar to that Mario 64 DS minigame.
