I think taking the both down on the troll round 8 is the correct play even if it did not have mighty blow because thick skull saves the ogre half of 5/36 and Regen saves the troll half of 6/36, so the troll is more likely to stay on the pitch, and it is a less important player for his team, furthermore you want to take chances when you are behind With mighty blow it's a no brainer the troll has twice the chance of staying on the pitch
