I'm a carpenter and it's important to talk to your crew as people, not employees. Dont talk down and belittle them just because you're in a higher position. The crew makes you money so treat them with respect, don't be afraid to joke around with them as well. It means you're building a relationship other than directly work:pay ratio. I hope you've figured things out and your business is going well! Sometimes we lash out as a result of internal conflicts rather than because of what's happening in the moment.

Its what motivates me. I just finished putting up a 10' X 15' patio cover alone (from a $2500 alumiwood kit) in 105 F degree heat. I would get up, "Man I don't feel like getting out in this heat". Watch a Victory video and, "OK, that patio ain't going to hang itself up." Now I'm on to the next project (putting up Ring security light, 12' X 12' gazebo, pour a BBQ pad, pour a driveway extension and sidewalk, put in new toilets, hang new ceiling fans....a lot of Victory videos on the weekend in my future motivation :) ). Seriously, this one had me in tears. It was awesome to see Danielle and his daughter out there. I saw the dog and was yelling, "Bugs must be there!" Wife is looking at me weird.

I remember being Daniel’s age and working with my dad and my brothers pouring mud. Still working with my old man today. I’m 26 and he’s 65 and although he has a hard time standing upright he won’t ever give it up. I always stand up tall when he tells homeowners about how long we’ve been working together because I know how proud he is.

I just found you and your channel the other day and I instantly subscribed. I just love how you treat everyone that’s how all bosses should be. You are such a kind person and a family man. Watching this video of you with your son reminds me of when I was a kid and fallowed my father. Going to the jobs with him are some of my greatest and favorite memories that I will always have as will your son.
