Hope Eric lands on his feet with the change. He’s young and has much life ahead of him. He is an even tempered human. Hard to find any drama in his interactions with others. Always a smile and that funny laugh. Don’t know the depths of right and wrong in the situation. Nor does it matter. We’ve all got our own to work out. Hope Ryan finds some smoother sailing soon. Seeing all of these ups and downs, having to put up with so much outside resistance, game playing on too many levels. We know it’s never going to be smooth as silk, but the multitasking it has taken with this new endeavor sure is a fine example of what stress is. It’s too much already. Hi Ryan, you handled Eric"s termination with a lot of class I must say. It has been evident for a long time that he had one foot out the door. When he got a taste of making his own money, his attitude went down hill, and he started bringing the whole crew down as well. As a contractor myself for some 40 years, I've had the same experiences that you have had so I know all to well how you feel when the trust factor is broken. The new building is really shaping up and you guys are doing a fantastic job with it. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and the whole Victory crew. Amen
@heatherd.93905 сағат бұрын
I agree with you 100%, Scot. Aside from the obvious, the unfortunate thing for Eric if he does go out on his own is that he doesn't know everything he needs to know, in my opinion. There will come that one job (or many) that he's going to either mess up, or not know what to do. If he'd left things better with Ryan, he likely could pick up the phone and ask him for advice. Heck, we all know Ryan would likely still give it to him if he asked, but I would think that Eric would hesitate to make that call now. I saw on a recent video of Eric's (I don't follow his channel but checked it out last week [it was maybe a 'Live" video] when we learned he was on a week off without pay) that he says he has a lot of respect and is grateful to Ryan so at least he's showing some respect now. Perhaps too late.

you are so correct. A yearly salary at $2 an hour is 27% the cost of that house. Look at today's wage disparity: a $60k salary is about 20% the cost of a fixer-upper house. So yeah man, you're totally right. I doubt a cement worker there would be able to afford a $300k house.

This is typical of owning a small business. The truth is that Eric has been a pretty bad employee from the beginning especially being late and being out but Ryan has always let him slide because Eric is fun and Ryan likes him. After awhile that charm gets old. Another factor is that Ryan has helped Eric A LOT to get his own business started and the more you give the more gratitude you expect in return. Eric didn’t show that appreciation so it’s ((POW)) for Eric!!!

You should get some “temporary” fuel tanks at your shop then they have no reason to stop at the gas station, I don’t think it will be really any big deal with the city. I think his health problems and issues in his personal life are weighing very heavily on him. I remember the Erick of 2 years ago vs. Erick now…and it is 2 totally different people. I really like the guy and how much joy he brought to the crew. I wish him all the best and I do think he will find his way back to the old Erick….but he has to figure out the health problems first.
