A week before the bite, I was commended by my district manager and was told that I was the best tech that they had ever had. Two months after the bite and almost losing my life the employer laid me off and told me that they could not hold my job for two months. They also tried to get out of the $50,000 in hospital bills and I had to fight them to get them paid! The life of a working man!

I can fully understand Tino's back pain. You are very right when you said at least it isn't lumbar disc issues. In 2008 I sat down on a broken toilet, uneven floor caused the bowl to rock back and forth. When I sat down the toilet rocked forward and I reached for the safety bar on the wall. I ruptured 4 lumbar discs and was done. I'd been cutting trees for almost 40 years and never had any injuries. Since then I"ve had 5 spine surgeries and am fused all down my lumbar with many screws and rods, and even a threaded pipe going from my tailbone up into L-5. So, you must stress the importance to your crew how important it is to be careful when bending and lifting and turning at the waist. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

A pre-trip inspection would eliminate a lot of the truck issues you’re experiencing, one of these days it’s going to cost you a big dollar especially if something to do with the Mack, it only takes a few minutes to check the oil and water, then kick the tires, and check the lights. When you get set up on your land, get a good compressor, and some fuel tanks, and a porta-john, save a lot of nonsense .

Ryan, I wish you would engage your brain before talking. Does it not occur to you that the new RAY might feel self conscious about his height. You should feel out the lie of the land before saying anything derogatory to new employees. It’s ok for you being big and broad, but everyone isn’t made the same. I just cannot understand a person in your position saying that sort of thing to a new employee. Ray might feel completely deflated after 5 minutes with you although he doesn’t want to show it. It isn’t any wonder why Bugs has finally left your employment. I’m sure the other employees must get sick to death of your comments. I don’t think that you would like people saying stuff like that to your family. Everyone has feelings. You also being an Employer and a Church goer should have more sense. End of rant.

11:27 but you also have to think, they’re just the inspectors, they can’t pass something that they think will fail. they’re trained to do things to specs, and have to go by it..they can let you do something because it’s easier, because if the higher ups don’t approve, you won’t get a call, it’ll be the inspector that passed it. so to save everyone hassle, they have to approve it only if absolutely correct. of course they can let things slide but nothing major. the inspectors are just the middle men who point the finger, but have no control
