Paul, I just was able to find this message from you. Wow! I don't know if you know, but my mom passed three months after your dad. And the same feelings and struggles that you experienced are the same that I did experience. It took me some time after my mom passed for me to be able to preach and pray for the sick... the feelings of blaming myself and others... the questions of 'what happened here?" ... many feelings... I thank God that His Word is more real than our feelings --- He is good! He gave me a personal answer and later I was able to see how God was in the middle of my mom's treatment and in the middle of our recovery of losing our most precious gift, my mom... Thank you for sharing-- it help me now to see that all that I felt it was not just because I was being rebellious and heart bitter... it could happen to anyone... Now my faith is also stronger and I dare to pray more for the sick even though I don't always see results... I still will do what God's word says because is our True! Hugs and blessings! :)

This message so spoke to me when I saw it on tv recently. I've watched 2 godly parents & my father in law die in ways that didn't seem right to me. I'd struggled with it so much inwardly... questioned my faith & even though God ministered to me in special ways... I still had this unsettled deep inside. This message hit me hard when Paul got to the part about his dad's death & how it affected him.... the part "even if" brought me to tears and I renewed my faith, that "even if" things don't go the way I trusted Him for... I will still choose to have faith in Him and trust Him. Thank you, Paul Daugherty for sharing this difficult subject. so honestly. (:

Powerful sermon! Amazing! Am I the only one that is noticing that the intro says, "Lastest" instead of "Latest?" I thought someone there would catch it by now! 😂👍🏻
