SPLATOON 1 IS STILL BROKEN (but fun)

Last weekend, we took a blast to the past. Splatoon 1 for the Wii U is still as broken as ever HAHA... here's a compilation of the fun moments from our rediscovery stream!

Splatoon 2 specials are more team-based while Splatoon 1 specials are more individual

I remember playing the demo on a wii (U?) sample console in like, best buy a couple years ago. I was enamored with the thought that you could become a squid and swim around in little puddles. I was told to wait to get the game and console as prices might drop later on, but we ended up buying the $400 switch and $60 Splatoon2 game cartridge lol. Still love the game to this day, and I’m glad the community is as alive as ever.

I found one at GameStop maybe a year ago. It was really good and is still working at ten star quality. I wish I could remember the box for it/the model, and I don’t know if you live in an area where GameStops aren’t common, but that’s where I found my gamepad charger.

It’s almost like Nintendo used this game as an experiment while developing Splatoon 2. Admit it. This game has a lot of stuff that can be seen as “early ideas”. WE WERE TEST SUBJECTS DURING THIS GAME’S LAUNCH!

I can't begin to recount how much this game means to me. Heck, it started my future as a digital artist thanks to the Miiverse functionality. I will forever miss the music and more "bubbly" style of the graphics for this game. And man do I miss the Aerospray RG, that was the ultimate weapon for a pest like me. RIP to the good Ink Mines and to the Inkstrike, and to Mahi-Mahi Resort.

I just got into the Splatoon by Thanksgiving time and this game gives me a different flavor. I am surprised that this game is still active as hell. I started Out on Splatoon 2 back in May and then I got hooked onto this game and pretty much pop on during Splatfest. I gotta work on using Inkstrike but I currently use Killer Wail/Kraken in 1.

If you’re playing aggro ranked use the inkstrike to attack a populated area. To avoid it your opponents will retreat and you can push forward to get some sweet sweet kills

@@Cloud_Strife1997 🤡🤡🤡🤡 I’ve been playing Splatoon for 5 1/2 years now and I haven’t met a single roller that doesn’t just spam ZR the whole time and easily get 1 hit kills. Also, there’s a difference between good weapons and OP weapons. If you can kill somebody by just pressing ZR once, I consider that to be OP.

Anyone want them to bring the bubbler back for Splatoon 3? Only, to keep it fresh, it acts kinda like the rainmaker shield, bursting with ink at the end of the timer or if you take too many hits, instead of being straight invulnerability. Also, no contagion either.

I miss the different colours and maps. These new maps are more competitive, whereas many of the older maps were good for inking if you sucked at combat.
