വല്ലപ്പോഴും താമസിച്ചു പോകാൻ കേരളം നല്ലതാണ്. പക്ഷെ സ്ഥിരം ആയി നിൽക്കാൻ പറ്റിയതല്ല. Why? I am an expat from Kerala living in Belgium for many years now. Though I was brought up all over India, growing up....speaking, learning Hindi and English. But at home we always spoke Malayalam, I still do speak...though I have so less social life with Malayalees here. Most of my friends, Colleagues neighbours here are Belgians, or other Europeans. So, when I am with them, I just behave , talk, eat and drink like them. But when I am at Naadu ( every year), my Malayalee self comes out! I am satisfied living in this country, also travel around much. But I miss naadu also much....so make sure to go every year.

ഒരു 80 s or 90 s ജനിച്ചവർ ഒക്കെ കുറേകൂടി നിഷ്കളങ്കറായിരുന്നു കാരണം അവരും കുറെ കഷ്ടപാടുകൾ ജീവിതത്തിൽ അനുഭവിച്ചിരുന്നു... അവരുടെ കുട്ടികാലത്തെ പോലെ അല്ല അവരുടെ കുട്ടികളുടെ കാലം കാരണം അവരുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കളുടെ കഷ്ടപാട് ഒന്നും അവർ അറിയാതെ വളർത്തിയ സുഖലോലുപതയിൽ ജീവിച്ചവർ... ബന്ധങ്ങളുടെ വില അറിയില്ല,പരസ്പര സഹകരണം എന്താണെന്നു അറിയില്ല എല്ലാം എനിക്ക് എന്ന ചിന്താഗതിയിൽ വളരുന്നവർ... അതുകൊണ്ട് ഒരിക്കലും പഴയ നന്മയുള്ള കാലം തിരിച്ചു കിട്ടില്ല....

I agree with your point of view, but if you are not financially well off in Kerala you are zero, the social system is not as strong as of developed countries. When you go for a vacation you feel good because you have lot of money (in conversion rates) to spend. Can you imagine your child can survive in Kerala?From my experience once I resigned and went back to live in Kerala, but within one year I came back to US. After all if you are born and raised in Kerala your inner self is always a Keralite . The second generation of Kerala origin are well educated and well to do in their born countries.

So many 5star hospitals keralites have the highest life style medical conditions.. hospitals are turning into a lucrative billion dollar business not a good sign.. yes good hospitals are required but unethical practices are rampant.. they charge ex orbitant money..plus lot of new gen doctors from private university knows nothing but there r decent doctors but most are under pressure by management to meet business target of hospital.. one angioplasty can cost 1 lakh it might be a gastric issue but u will be forced to do all sort of checks .

Bro what u said is true. I lived in singapore 24 years . Lived the most convenient and efficent life style with everything in my finger tip. But the financial cost to have all these are just way beyond manageable for a average or even upper middle class people. Many people are tied to huge house mortage. Cost of living is too high vs average salaries doesnt rise. A 2 or 3 bed room decent house may be cost 30 lakhs to 35 lakhs to build in kerala but here we pay 4 to 6 crores on average for a simple flat. Life here is hectic and high pressured.. am bloody tired of this.. Planning to go back to kerala in a year .. need to build a house under 30 lakhs a 1500sft or 2000 sft is enough for me. Am tired of office politics 9 to 5 job.. we r all educated in kerala but cos of this fundamentals i got from my school back in india i used to excel in the top universities but still i couldnt handle the work pressure .. Bro ignore the beurocracy redtapes in kerala.. kerala is the best if u can live with ur means..

What he said are not practical things, all are emotional. Practically he is comfortable in his current residence but have an emotional attachment with his home land. It is obvious and not practical to be here in current scenario. I have been here for years and looking for government job. It's very difficult and more competitive. Missing a settled life. I have a lot of friends have government jobs. They think 7th pay scale is not enough to survive here and better take a leave and go abroad for a while to make themselves financially safe. Everyone have there own sorrows but it's better to be practical every time. When we gain something there should be loss accompany with this. In Malayalam "വികാരത്തെക്കാൾ പ്രധാനമാണ് വിചാരം ". So be practical 🙏🏻. Please don't try to settle here for a while. Inflation, unemployment..... Etc are high, in reality people are going from here. Relations are diminishing not because of the covid only, very bad politics is also a cause. I hope things will get better, but it takes time. That's it... 🙏🏻

This is purely from a man’s perspective. For a lot of women- the primary reason they choose to migrate to western countries is because it frees them from a lot of prying eyes and judgement. They enjoy more “freedom” away from the conservative norms of their own homes.

Yes Rahul, I think I am returning back pretty soon.😀.. don’t want to regret in later life about not giving enough time for both mine and my wife’s parents with their grandchildren. But we have citizenship here , and a later stage if we need to move back we can always do that. So just keeping our options open
