The funny part of this is that Disney Land isn't even in LA, it's in Anaheim literally across the street from the Anaheim convention center where Vidcon is held. Anaheim and LA are two separate cities about half an hour away from each other. Just a nugget of information for everyone :)

It makes me sad that some of these bigger youtubers can't go out and just enjoy VidCon the way the rest of us did, because they'll get swarmed by fangirls. Like I'm sure they have fun with friends and whatnot, but there's just so much to do/see that they missed out on, and they didn't get to just enjoy the wonderful community and feel the love and positivity that filled the air. I've never been around a group of such genuinely good people (minus a few of the more intense fangirls)

Disneyland is actually located in Anaheim which is not part of Los Angeles or Los Angeles county for that matter. It's roughly 30 minutes away if there's no traffic.

When I was 6 my dance studio performed in Disney World. As Disney performers we were allowed backstage and behind the scenes to get ready. During our bus ride to our dressing room area we drove past a few characters. I can attest to the fact that yes, they are just men sweating in costumes. Nothing scars a child more than a man dressed as goofy without his head smoking a cigarette.

Ah, I guess LA might not be the best place for travel (unless you're into museums) but once you're there for awhile and you get to meet people in such a huge sprawling area who like the same things you do (& are part of that same obscure group that you are in this huge place) it becomes nicer.
