I get what Jake means by saying that Gib should be better than he is because Gib has constantly stated that he’s been living and breathing boxing for years. Him not making content proves that and whenever it’s time to perform he just seems so average which isn’t a bad thing but you’ve seen guys in the influencer boxing scene get better over a shorter period of time. Gib has shown the most variety out of all the crossover boxers. He's thrown jabs, left hook, body shots, right hands, got up off of the canvas and won, taken a loss and come back. He's thrown feints. Solidified his right hand. He throws thoughtful combos now as well. Because he's not got a polished and as rugged a right hand as Jake, he won't get the credit he deserves. He's not big enough to fight the bigger guys in reality but he's got the balls to do it, and you have to respect that.

Fundamentally Jake has shown to be weak, He's been boxing for 5 years and he still struggles to set up punches with his jab. He hasn't really shown the ability to use his jab effectively he also has terrible pace and his work rate is poor. He's flat footed, Slow but durable and very heavy on his lead foot, When in reality you shouldn't be so reliant on your lead foot. You should actually be a bit more reliant on your back foot so that you can make steps back. Jake also reliant on one punch and has overly telegraphed sloppy overhands that didn't land on Tommy.
