I am a new subscriber. I haven't read all the comments so please forgive me if this is a repeat question: Having your hot water tank under your bed does it give off heat and if so how do you deal with that? I am a 60-year-old Canadian woman ❤living in Las Vegas Nevada and I find I just love narrow boat videos. I have been to London once and loved the experience. God bless.

Hi Lauralie. Welcome aboard. That’s a great question. The tank is very well insulated so I have never felt any heat coming through my mattress. What I did notice though was in the winter I didn’t get any damp under my mattress which is an issue on narrowboats 🥰

Now, there's just one question... coming from Down Under we are becoming a nation of solar-powered houses (had mine fitted in 2011), but we get so much sun compared to the UK. Been 18 years aboard now on a narrow boat continously cruising. Seen a few fully electric boats now. Still seems crazy to not have an engine but technology is moving on I suppose!

Looks great. Do you also have a generator for those cloudy hours, days, weeks? Painfully aware that my question makes me sounds like a skeptic, but we have an electric car here. Just interested to know if the panels can take care of all your propulsion and other power needs.

Yes I do have a diesel genny. Mainly for use in the winter as cooking takes a lot of power even though I cruise less. In the summer I can cruise as much as I like and depending on the amount of trees at the mooring I rarely use the genny.

Hi. Yes you may. She was half of the sale of my house £170,000. The equivalent boat costs more now though.
