Nice video.... Technically the route you were running is "the needle". Ned's Needle is just left of that line, and more for narrow boats. Paul's needle is the one right of the main needle, and not something I would choose to raft on purpose as it is very steep.

I swam boulder drop when I was going through guide training. Oddly enough, none of the seasoned guides wanted to guide it...lol...throw bag never felt so good.

I love kayaking Boulder drop at all flows. I have a video on my page dropping "Ned's Needle" in the middle of it.

I tube this every year down to Big Eddy. Much lower CFMs though.
