It's good to see someone keeping their water courses flowing nicely well done.

Thank you, if everyone did there bit inc. the EA. There would be less flooding of farm land and properties.

EA should be following your lead on clearing out waterways, as shown by you there’s no damage being done,just clearing out weed and any obstructions
@JDautopower Жыл бұрын
They should, but sadly they aren’t!

Sugar beet harvesters are monster’s these days can go back to the single row Standen harvester Fordson Major on front and M F 135 along side with 4 ton Tye trailer running alongside Happy Days. And no cabs lol. Drainage a big issue time some arse’s were kicked at E A and compensation paid to farmers
@JDautopower Жыл бұрын
When I first started we had a single row harvester like many other people did, about an acre per day, now upto 4o or more in a day.

Never understand why people run in the same wheelings all the time. Makes massive ruts that some poor bugga has got to sort out
@JDautopower Жыл бұрын
To be honest there were ruts across 2/3’s of the headland, once you got into some you couldn’t get out! The other 1/3 was not run on to allow the harvester to set into the rows accurately. I get what you mean though.

ruts ..............ya aint seen nothing ............. come over here to really se a mud bath.......... but we got to keep going as we need the beet to feed the cattle...........

The EA, what could you say yes good for pollution management, but useless rules ,legislation for clearing ditches burns,etc that’s why areas get badly flooded in my opinion, should leave that management for the farmers they know how the ground works
