The way this video answered most of my questions lately, thank you so much for the insight, you gained a subscriber. Now it's time to be obsessed with video editing just like how I am with graphics design.

Hi Vince - thank you for the video. I really enjoyed it. I was a personal fitness trainer in Los Angeles for many years and I earned my living doing it for 20 years. You think personal training is competitive in Los Angeles? Heck yes. But I did it. I even had to turn away business. My point is EVERYTHING is competitive! I liked your breakdown because a lot rides on skill and confidence and work ethic. Thanks Vince! I owe you a lot. I'm 50 years old and am now intermediate in Adobe Premiere Pro and have had a few paying clients and look forward to much more!!

I have been a video editor for 3 years. I thought it was a saturated niche as now seems like everyone can edit videos. Until I tried to hire some help, and I got 100s of applications so bad, that I decided to raise my prices and keep doing the work myself. The market is saturated with people who think they can edit video, but it lacks video editors.

So do you still edit videos while traveling? Saw your video about you transforming the bus into a home a while back, cool video btw

@@Noscope-dm3qk thank you!! 🙏 Yes, video editing is our full time job, it allows us to travel around and living the digital nomad lifestyle (I actually don’t like the “digital nomad” definition, but that is basically what we do.

Im planning to learn video editing for 6 months then spend another year learning while selling my skills. It'll definitely work

@@Noscope-dm3qk that’s a great plan!! The best advice I can give you is to focus on one niche, something that interests you (short form, podcast, travel videos, finance, documentaries, real estate etc, everything can be a niche). Become the best in your niche and you will become the editor to go to!

@TravellingNowhereFast that's great thank you! From your experience as a video editor would you say getting into car editing is a lucrative business?

@@Noscope-dm3qk I think it is! Follow Camilo Castañeda if you don’t already. And get into Video Production Plus by Jack Cole, I joined a couple of weeks ago and it is super valuable!

What’s a realistic timeline as a beginner to learn video editing, get really good at it, and start getting clients? 6 months if you’re dedicated or longer?
