I love your reactions for a couple reasons: I learn so much and being a film major this is fascinating to me, I love how break down every detail and then explain it in a way I understand, and you give me a whole new level of appreciation for these MV's. It was already a masterpiece when I watched it the first time but your explanation and everything you showed and talked about just blew my mind. I knew the MV and the story is from the Divine Comedy but I didn't realize how far they went to create the literal description of the levels of hell from it. That's insane and I love it. CIX were inspired by an Italian masterpiece of the Middle Ages. A little explaining: The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri, is an Epic poem of 3 parts of the three divisions of the world beyond: -the Inferno(hell),the Purgatorio(purgatory), and the Paradiso(heaven) to make his way back to God. The first trailer is focused on the gates (entrance) of hell , we can see Bae Jinyoung running through the "Selva oscura" (dark JUNGLE) . This where Dante was lost,this is where the journey through hell starts [Teaser 1](kzbin.info/www/bejne/i37QonSkn62eqZI) "Lasciante ogni speranza, voi ch'entrate" was written in the entrance of the Inferno (hell) which means "leave all hope,you who enters" ."The gates of hell" are an actual monumental sculpture in real life. this the same gates that are in front of Bae Jinyoung Based on Dante's idea of hell, Hell is structured like an upside down cone, with each descending circle becoming smaller and containing more depraved souls and more intense suffering. Right outside the gates of Hell are those who neither accepted nor rejected God. On the next trailer,we can say BX is on the 6 Circle In Dante's 'Inferno' the 6th Circle of Hell is reserved for heretics and the horrifying punishment that sinners there have to endure:sinners are trapped in burning tombs,and they suffer ''horrible pain'' [BX teaser](kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXTdnGNpqsmch7c) next Hyunsuk(water 水)we see those who have been refused entry Hell.They form a river of naked bodies drawn by a banner. *watching you react over the beautiful VFX, visuals and storyline made me realise that I can’t believe I haven’t asked you to react to this MV yet and I haven’t seen anyone else ask you to either but it’s Xia Junsu’s Flower MV* I really hope you react to it because you could literally go down a rabbit hole just reading up on the symbolism and theories- even as an English literature major, it blows my mind. It came out in 2015 but to me, it’s still one of the most stunning, intricate and meaningful MVs that was ever created. Plus, if you combine the whole history between Junsu’s past with SM entertainment and being part of TVXQ (one of Korea’s most iconic boy groups ever) and then leaving to start his own group with 2 other members of the group...there’s just SO MUCH symbolism and metaphors to unpack it’s absolutely unreal. The song itself is also wonderful and to me is incredibly underrated. Please react to his MV and I promise you will be amazed at the level of thought that went into it! The visuals are jawdroppingly insane and hauntingly beautiful. It’s especially meaningful because he has been blacklisted by the entire media industry by SM so these music videos are some of the only ways we fans can see him as an artist :( if yall agree, please like or comment so Jordan sees this!!!
