You never know what to expect from Harry, except that it's probably brilliant, crazy, fun and flawlessly beautiful. This is the song I play to the people who refer to Harry as a "pop artist". His first album was very much old school rock influenced, and this was his second single and music video from his self-titled debut album. With "Sign of the times" being so serious and grandiloquent, this was a total surprise - foreshadowing his entire solo career as an artist who is ever surprising and unexpected. Thank you for this reaction, it's always a pleasure watching your joy & very much appreciated expertise.

Great reaction. Nice little fact is that a girl from the video was poorly and had to leave and they all had time with Harry after the shoot and she was so sad she missed out Harry had a one to one with her and it was such a sweet thing for him to do

I knew you would love this one! Kiwi is one of his most beloved songs, and his live show closer, but not many people talk about this video. It shows his quirky side that you don’t see that much of in other pop artists. He has been constantly surprising us since his solo debut in 2017.

I think the kids are a stand in for how adults behave. The adults in the story aren’t behaving like adults and the scream “I’m having your baby; it’s none of your business” is immaturity on the intellectual / emotional level of a food fight. In other words, we adults are just children who got older. And perhaps the MV is a reminder not to take it all too seriously.

The fact that the main girl is dressed the same as Harry kinda hints that it's an attempt to tell his story through her character. Actually, fans do have some theories about the story but they go deep in the details of Harry's art/life/career. The real meaning of the song and mv was never confirmed. Hi! I've always interpreted this video as a metaphor of the world balance. I mean, all the sweets on the ground can be the world richness, and the kids can be seen as the different states that have verbal arguments 'til someone breaks the balance and they all start to fight. It's always been my thought since when it first come out. Always interesting technical explanations, thanks

Harry has wore the same thing as Phoebe in Treat people with kindness as well. He is usually one of the girls in his way of presenting himself. (In Daylight all of the other performers are women, in Watermelon sugar he is hanging out with the girlies on the beach.) I think you understand more of Harry’s point of view if you don’t think every interaction he has with women in his music videos are romantic. It is more about being the same than about being in love.
